    Lead Specialist Group Comm & Reporting

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Leading the preparation and publication of all external reports, the Integrated Annual Report, Report to Stakeholders, Climate Change Report, Governance Report, sustainability reports, and operational reports, including other relevant stakeholder disclosures.
    • Ensuring that all reports are accurate, compliant with regulatory requirements as well as leading local and international reporting standards and frameworks.
    • Effectively communicating the company’s performance, strategies, developments, risks, and opportunities, primarily via its suite of reports.
    • Ensuring that all reports are aligned with the company’s policies, strategies and reflect the latest communication priorities and best practices in the resources sector.

    Key factors to your success include:

    • Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or external reporting with a focus on the mining or extractive industries.

    Engineering Foreman Mechanical GRP

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Recognized Trade Test Certificate in Fitting, Turning, Boilermaking, and\or Millwright
    • Minimum 7-10 years’ Shaft, Conveyance, and associated Infrastructure maintenance experience

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Electrician Winder

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade12 or equivalent
    • Relevant electrical trade certificate with a MV Switching Certificate
    • Conversant with Minerals Act regulations where Winding Plant is concerned (Chapter 16 of the Minerals Act)
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience as an electrician with at least 5 years’ winder maintenance experience on both Blair Multi Rope (BMR) Winders as well as Double and Single Drum winders and associated equipment
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    • Permanent Blasting Certificate and Onsetter Certificate
    • At least 5 years’ experience as a Miner/Timberman and team supervisor in a Shaft environment

    • Contribute to the culture of Zero Harm by participating in and leading team safety, health, environment and risk management campaigns
    • Ensure compliance with all Shaft and related standards, regulations, and instructions, relevant Codes of Practice, etc. and, initiating remedial actions or escalating as required
    • Oversee and perform required equipment and installation risk assessments, lockout/tagout and related activities in area of accountability
    • Schedule, assign and monitor team daily maintenance and routine activities to ensure safe work delivery, delivery to standards and, conduct regular Planned Task Observations (PTOs) to ensure team effectiveness and coaching to improve overall delivery

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Appropriate Trade Certificate
    • Have 5 years’ experience as an underground Rigger/Ropesman with experience working on Winders (BMR) and carrying a Regulation 16.74 appointment for the examination of applicable winding plant
    • Have extensive experience with shaft slinging operations
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    Key Competencies:

    • Proven track record in safety leadership
    • Proven interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
    • Independent, proactive thinker and ability to schedule and deliver work within tight deadlines
    • Advanced knowledge of safety procedures in rigging
    • Experience in rope capping and splicing
    • Overhead crane licence

    • Ensure the safe and timely execution of daily maintenance on boxes, steel works, 18 ton hoppers, locos, etc.
    • Safely execute breakdown repairs as assigned and assists with expansion and construction tasks
    • Participate in and conduct scheduled and ad hoc shaft and infrastructure examinations and repairs
