Job Description

• We are looking for a Digital Accountant with 5 years of working experience in an Audit and Accounting Firm.

Qualifications & Experience required:

• National Senior Certificate
• BCom Accounting Degree 
• Completed SAIPA articles (advantageous)
• At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting in a professional firm experience an advantage

Fully computer literate on:

• Xero Accounting
• PaySpace/SimplePay
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• SARS Efiling

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be required to handle (but is not limited to) the following:

• Writing up books to balance sheet
• Drafting financials in Caseware (an advantage)
• Compilations
• Debtors, including capturing and reconciling
• Creditors, including capturing and reconciling
• Bank statement and recon, including credit and petrol cards
• Payroll/payslips, and EMP201 and EMP501 submissions. Review and audits from SARS
• VAT calculations and VAT201 returns. Review and audits from SARS
• Knowledge on UIF
• Knowledge on WCA
• Fixed asset calculation and depreciation
• Journal posting
• Monthly management accounts, budget and cashflow preparation

• Content Creation: Produce clear, concise, and grammatically accurate copy across all platforms, adapting tone and style as needed to meet the specific requirements of each brief or audience.
• Digital and Community Management: Oversee community management for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring responsive and relevant interactions that enhance our online presence.
• Technical Competency: Must be proficient with a Macbook, Microsoft Office suite, and Teams
• SEO and Web Content Management: Lead SEO-focused content creation and participate in website updates to maintain a compelling and consistent digital presence.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct industry and competitor research to keep content fresh, relevant, and aligned with current trends.
• Adaptability and Feedback Integration: Embrace feedback and demonstrate agility in learning new tools or refining content as needed to ensure all work meets quality standards and objectives.
