    Advertising Manager

    • The South African Brand Team act as brand guardians for the ZA company. The primary department responsibilities include consumer insights, product marketing; in-store and packaging activation – including new product/variant launches, advertising; creative development, media planning and buying for brand/product activities, content, and events.

    BUDGET & MEDIA AGENCY MANAGEMENT

    • Manage the media agency to inspire excellence and deliver best-practice integrated campaigns, with maximum effectiveness and efficiency, while constantly optimising ways of working and exploring new, innovative ways to connect with consumers
    • Keep close cost-controlling systems in place, ensuring TV cost per GRP commitments and digital performance guarantees are held and TV inflation is pro-actively managed to minimize impact
    • Cultivate a collaborative culture and strong agency-client relationship, ensuring best practice planning and buying and account servicing
    • Perform annual media agency evaluation and develop/implement performance plans as needed
    • Manage the budget, spend and ROI

    BUSINESS PLANNING

    • Contribute to the annual business planning process including analysis of media planning and buying and advertising creative effectiveness to deliver plans and initiatives that will grow brand health and sales

    EXPERIENCE

    • University Degree
    • Track record of delivering impactful campaigns of various sizes, from tactical online activations to multi-million-rand, 360° campaigns aligned across paid, owned, managed, and earned channels

    Head of Trade Marketing & Category Management

    • The Trade Marketing, Category & Insights Manager is responsible for the development and coordination of the trade marketing, category and insights activities to maximise the potential of the Red Bull brand in the trade, whilst maintaining the brand personality and values. They should lead the strategy of the local sales team and enable the execution of that strategy via Key Accounts and Field Sales teams. This includes all means of communication (internal, trade and shopper), internal coordination between marketing and sales, POS development and implementation, Category Management projects, trial activities and sales analysis to generate insight.     • Identify, develop and implement necessary processes to enhance sales business performance.

    Single Point of Contact for Reporting to international Off Premise Trade Team

    • Manage all the international requests of data sharing and local implementation of international tools.
    • Monthly fill-in of International Dashboard with market data.
    • Organisation and follow-up of the wave of store audits in the local market.
    • Implementation of global tools (for in-store material creation, elaboration of planograms, evaluation of promotion efficiency, etc.)

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years experience in FMCG sector, ideally as Business Insights Manager, Category Manager, POS Manager or Key Account Manager.
    • BCom degree/relevant tertiary qualification preferred

    Key Account Specialist | Vending Machines

    • As Key Account Specialist Vending (KAS) you will be responsible for opening, developing and managing a defined group of Vending operators servicing both the private and public sector. You are responsible for establishing and maintaining distribution, implementing the catering and vending channel strategy and coordinating sales and marketing efforts to maximize business opportunities in a profitable way whilst developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our current top (and potential top) customers in this sector.     Distribution Partner Manager | Non Liquor

    • To ensure Red Bull’s sales growth and perfect store execution is achieved in the Independent Rural and Urban Trade. Goal is to increase and deepen Red Bulls footprint in this channel. Main focus is to develop a profound and proven concept for Red Bull to become the leader in Energy within Independent Rural and Urban market space. Once developed, the role is to manage its execution daily and turning strategy into action.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Analyze Data

    • Analyze geographic areas to understand outlet and sales opportunity within identified areas through trade visits
    • Set minimum DP service requirements based on trade analysis to ensure maximum service to trade.

    Business Planning

    • Develop annual Business Plan for all our partners within the region in close coordination with Head of Direct Distribution for winning in the Independent trade.
    • Target to increase and deepen Red Bulls footprint in Independent Urban & Rural channels.
    • Co-Develop Business Plans by DP to deliver on all relevant RBZA strategic initiatives including; Volume, Horizontal & Vertical Distribution, Execution and Information exchange (Depletion Data). Ensure the plan is aligned to overall RBZA plan.
    • Manage and secure sufficient POS stock and handling as well as ROI calculations on any initiatives implemented into trade.

    Sales and 3rd party Distribution Management

    • Set, Track and Drive DP’s against business plan.
    • Define routines and call cycles for managing the operations in a professional / sustainable way, in line with routines matrix set out by HOD: Direct.
    • Do monthly business reviews with DP’s in line with business plan & Commercial Annex.
    • Define and track the DP KPIs (broken down from overall sales targets):
    • Volume Sales, Distribution Numeric & Weighted and Price Compliance, Perfect Store Execution, Promotional Execution.
    • Support DP in achieving set targets through:
    • Training the DP sales force on Red Bull perfect store standards and execution of those
    • Leading DP sales force by personal example and hand-on approach
    • Quantification of opportunity identified in data analyzing to conceptually sell new concepts to partners.
    • Undertake systematic and regular trade visits to identify gaps and opportunities or to prove any findings from data supplied by Trade Marketing. The latter being a critical part of the role.
    • Prepare and lead monthly reviews with the DP owner/management.
    • Generate best practices and multiply throughout covered channels.
    • Fuel DP sales force passion for Red Bull through recognition and reward programs.

    Forecasting

    • Forecast financial sales by DP and ensure order taking according to Red Bulls targets and principles and aligned to forecast.
    • Setup Build/Draw calculation sheets in order to manage SOH vs Trade sales vs Financial sales.

    Trade Visits

    • Undertake systematic and regular trade visits to identify gaps and opportunities or to prove any findings from data supplied by Trade Marketing. The latter being a critical part of the role.
    • Conceptual selling of the quantified opportunity in a mature and professional manner to ensure buy-in (convinced) and motivated Partners
    • Track execution via our Partners field force

    Budget Management

    • Manage the budget that is allocated to commercial initiatives, sales force initiatives, and below-the-line marketing initiatives linked to the SAB and Red Bull Partnership.

    EXPERIENCE
    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Optional)
    • Valid driving license
    • Proven Track Record of 3rd party management in FMCG sector
    • >5 years sales experience in FMCG sector.
    • Sales Team Leadership Experience
    • Successful track record in managing sales force (distribution partner preferred) within all Trade channels
    • Business Experience in Regional Accounts - Independent trade  
    • Key Account experience (an Advantage)
    • Leadership, Motivation and Team Skills.
    • Clear understanding of market, sales & distribution within South Africa

    National Key Account Manager | PNP & Boxer Groups

    • The National Key Account Manager is a senior account manager responsible for managing a portfolio of customers within the RBZA business. The individual must have entrepreneurial traits and be a self starter to enable them to deliver on sales, volume and profitability targets. The National Key Account Manager needs to be able to devise a medium to long term vision, based on thorough understanding of customers, trends and opportunities with attention to detail. The person needs to feel comfortable to take calculated risks, identifying and exploiting opportunities and to achieve business advantages.     Strategy

    • Manage the implementation of Red Bull's commercial strategy at the key customers.
    • Develop mid to long term customer strategies in line with the overall national sales policy, with a strong focus on innovation and long term sales drivers.
    • Implement price strategies in line with company mandate and establish the customer pricing accordingly.
    • Deliver a promotional plan that drives share and category growth and protects channel profitability and is aligned with the National grid.

    Analysis and Planning

    • Analyse available data sources (e.g. Nielsen, scanner and customer data) and derive customer's growth opportunities.
    • Continuously plan sales forecast and prepare trade spend budget to hit profitability targets.
    • Develop plans for annual business and effective promotion.
    • Produce excellent conceptual selling decks and establish Red Bull as the category leader.

    Execution

    • Conduct and lead yearly negotiation process at key customers within your portfolio, spend time in understanding what is required to win in category.
    • Agree with customers on Red Bull's Perfect Store concept/ VIP programs/ Profit Zone concept / Permanent Category Solutions.
    • Manage in trade partners for Merchandising and Execution within assigned portfolio.

    Tracking

    • Continuously track and adjust volume and profitability targets by using existing sales reports. (CPM2) BI
    • Prepare and discuss success of executed plans (e.g. promotions) with customers and show Red Bull’s contribution to customer’s business.
    • Use Insights and data to manage the execution ranging and distribution in store effectively.

    Collaboration

    • Continually research to understand customer needs better and respond with programmes (in line with the brand equity) that are mutually beneficial.
    • Develop effective partnerships for Red Bull to be regarded as key supplier and engine for profitable growth.
    • Strive for Category Captaincy with key strategic retailers within the energy category.
    • Build strong intercompany networks and establish a close cross-functional relationship with Field Sales, Distribution team as well as Trade Marketing. Jointly develop winning customer category strategies and conceptual sells.

    Forecasting

    • Forecasting base volume based on base/promo/execution using PET to better understand off-take and what drives effective promotional uplift.
    • Volume forecast critical for planning demand via DP driving overall business efficiencies.
    • This is critical in planning pack mix and ultimately profitability mix.

    EXPERIENCE
    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

    • Managing and controlling budgets, including investment and optimizing investment buckets.
    • A proven track record of 2-5 years professional experience as a National Key Account Manager - PNP & Boxer is advantageous.
    • Cross-functional experience in Trade Marketing/Consumer Marketing/Field Sales is a plus (not mandatory).
    • Excellent network of existing contacts and trade relationships.
    • Tactical planning / Strategic ability -- develop specific, valuable, innovative and commercially focused strategies but also grasp the ‘bigger picture’.
    • Commercial acumen -- strong understanding of sales processes and financial systems. Strategic and innovative commercial awareness. Ideally can work with SAP/BI to plan and track sales results.
    • Analytical skills -- strong planning and negotiation skills with a sound understanding of financial bottom line implications of sales and marketing decisions. Able to analyse sales and customer data, take the best conclusion, develop initiatives with the highest value for the shopper, customer and Red Bull.
    • Negotiation experience -- successful front line retail negotiation experience and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven track record of successfully implementing a national price increase.
    • Presentation skills -- demonstrate great presentation skills that provide highly relevant and commercially viable strategies/processes in a clear, concise and empowering way.
