    Mechanical Technician I x4

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • Provide Technical support to maintenance managers and engineers by applying theoretical skills and making suggestions and independently implementing solutions to optimise systems.

    Maintenance Operator Mechanical Gr 2

    Purpose of Job

    • Maintenance Operator Mechanical supports the Mechanical Maintenance team by providing effective equipment maintenance assistance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, to increase stability and maintain sustainability of equipment.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Apply and maintain safety in a working environment
    • Participates in root cause analyses, and provides feedback to RCA teams
    • Carries out work according to planning
    • Participates in daily morning meetings to discuss work assignments
    • Provides adequate feedback to supervisor on work progress
    • Applies and adheres to safety standards and requirements to support safety
    • Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to waste disposal procedures

    Snr Mechanical Technician

    Purpose of Job

    • To provide technical support to Maintenance Managers and Engineers by applying technical skills and making suggestions and independently implement solution to optimise systems. To support and improve the asset management programme of the boilers by providing inputs into outage scopes of work; RBIs and maintenance strategies; QCPs; turnaround readiness, execution and review; etc.

    • A working knowledge of SAP
    • A working knowledge of meridum
    • Certified maintenance strategy developer (wish)

    Working Experience

    • 8+ relevant years overall Mechanical Maintenance technician.
    • Management experience will be advantageous on outages.
    • Mills experience is required.
    • Boiler-specific experience will be advantageous on non-pressure parts-Mills, Air heater, Drag Chain, Burners, and Soot blower.

    Team Assistant Eng

    Purpose of Job

    • Provide administrative/secretarial services to the relevant team thereby also assumes responsibility for general departmental management. Play a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of the team. Provide high level support services that impact the effectiveness of the managers and functional area.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.
    • Responsible for 'general area / department and is the team’s expert in methods and tasks efficiencies.
    • Operates within relatively standardised guidelines from superior/s regarding what is required and how it is to be done.
    • Constantly interacts with people in dealing with day-to-day effectiveness of delivery.
    • Duties performed may include preparation of documents and reports, the use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, greeting/referring/assisting visitors/clients/staff/others, mail distribution, and photocopying. Management of the diaries of eight managers. Scribing of daily meetings and preparing and distributing minutes of meetings. Arranging and booking meeting venues and ensuring everything is in place prior to meetings.
    • Delivers on time and within required standards. Deals with immediate and relatively short-term issues with procedural routine thinking challenges.
    • Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases. Working knowledge of Office365 applications like PowerBi and Sharepoint is required.
    • Devises and maintains an effective paper-based filing system, where required for the team.
    • Prints, faxes and scans relevant documents (e.g., travel forms, etc.).
    • Sorts and distributes incoming post and organises and sends outgoing post.
    • Organises and stores paperwork, documents and computer-based information.
    • Completes forms in accordance with company procedures.
    • Locate and attach appropriate files to incoming correspondence requiring replies.
    • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints. Maintain schedule and arrangements for activities such as purchase, receipt, dispatch, and delivery of goods and services. Load purchase requisitions(PRs) and invoices and follow-up on payments.

    Formal Education
