    Apprentice: Electrician (Bloemfontein, Durban, Koedoespoort, Salt River, North End, Cambridge)

    Position Purpose

    • The purpose of apprenticeship is to prepare a learner to operate independently and productively in preparation of being a Competent Qualified Artisan.  The electrician apprentice will be trained to plan and prepare, install, manufacture, connect, assemble, test and inspect, commission control systems, installations, and assemblies, maintain, modify and repair equipment, and apply the knowledge and skills obtained in a variety of contexts.

    Position Outputs

    • Expected outcome is the ability to plan and prepare work site, equipment, tools, consumables and materials for trade related activities and operations, use hand, power and measuring tools, install, assemble, fit, connect electrical equipment and control systems.  Test, inspect, commission, maintain and repair electrical equipment, control systems,  installations,  assemblies etc.

    Position Purpose

    Position Purpose

    • Transnet Corporate Centre and Academy is looking for dynamic and recently qualified graduates for a two-year programme (24 months programme). This programme will provide the incumbents with relevant workplace experience through a structured learning programme and organizational support.
