As a Senior Developer, your main responsibility will be the setting up of design patterns, libraries, frameworks and processes. Specialized knowledge in cloud technologies is a must, and you will be providing technical solutions to enterprise problems. This includes mentoring other developers. Duties include:

• Setting up and maintaining technical infrastructure
• Identify suitable coding solutions
• Analyse and understand business requirements
• Develop solutions for front-end, back- end and integration
• Integrate design
• Provide technical leadership in DSL to team
• Detect critical deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Technical competency within cloud

Requirements / Experience:

• Relevant degree
• 5+ years Could Technologies - especially AWS (S3, cloud formation scripts, Lamda’s, SES, SQS and step functions)
• 5+ years’ Experience in being the senior developer within a development team
• GIT
• 5+ years JSP, Java 8, Object Orientation Programming
• Experience with microservices
• Strong SOAP and Rest experience

Role:

• You will join the Big Data team, developing frameworks and working on automation, streaming data ingest and the Big Data applications based on the models develop by our Data Scientists.
• transformation of data using XSLT and code based techniques
• developing frameworks for running solutions.
• Develop real time support systems for Big Data environment which interface with other operational production system (real time stream).

Key skills:

• Exert in Big Data
• Expert in Python
• Scala knowledge preferred
• Hadoop ecosystem knowledge
• Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Other Technical Skills:

• Java, Scala, Pip, Maven + CI, ORM/Hibernate/JPA experience, ELK Stack
• JMS, Tibco EMS experience, Oracle and PL/SQL knowledge, Presentation layer development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular), Modelling languages experience (UML, ArchiMate etc) and modelling tools (Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm etc.)

Experience:

• IT related Degree or Diploma (BSc/BTech or similar).
• 5+ years of Python development experience
• 5+ years Java/scala systems development experience.
• Experience with XML/XSD and Web Services.
• Unit testing and mocking frameworks.
• Knowledge of OO design principles and development patterns.
