A Lucky Beard UX Designer designs experiences that are a joy to use and that are loved by customers. They have a deep understanding of the products, features and technology requirements for each brand within their portfolio. They are able to translate product, brand, and business needs into functional, high-fidelity wireframe designs, personas, user stories and user journeys.

Responsibilities: 

• Understand product specifications and user psychology
• Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
• Create personas through user research and data
• Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
• Develop wireframes and prototypes to bring the product vision to life
• Create user stories, personas and storyboards
• Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
• Work with UI Designers to implement beautiful designs
• Translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Developing and executing user experience designs for consumer facing platforms
• Take a strategic role in owning and driving design and collaborating across teams to produce results
• Presenting and communicating UX/UI recommendations and strategies to stakeholders. Help to define the user model and user interface for client products
• Develop high level detailed storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Gauge the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for change
• Analyse platforms and create a case for change that will meet user requirements and expectations

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience advantageous
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Adobe CC, Axure, Sketch, Figma, Framer, InVision Studio)
• Technical experience/knowledge advantageous such as HTML, JavaScript & CSS

A Lucky Beard Front-End Engineer's role involves crafting websites, emailers, and content management systems, showcasing deep knowledge of relevant technologies, tools, and frameworks. With a sharp eye for design and a dedication to crafting outstanding customer experiences, they bring creativity and expertise to their work.

Responsibilities:

• Research, troubleshoot, debug issues and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Contribute to your team, projects, and company documentation
• Contribute to the open source projects
• Develop features and improvements according to a clearly defined set of requirements
• Ensure that your code meets internal standards and best practices.
• Collaborate and coordinate alongside product design, UI/UX, CRM, marketing,  design and project management team members
• Assist with estimations of work
• Run product demonstrations of completed work to clients and other project stakeholders
• Actively participate in client workshops and project status calls

Skills & Experience Required:

Front-End

• Solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• Experience with at least one of the following frameworks an advantage: ReactJS, VueJS or AngularJS
• Solid understanding of at least one of the following CSS frameworks: Tailwind, Bootstrap, Foundation or equivalent
• Solid understanding of CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS
• Solid understanding of responsive design;
• Solid understanding with various layout frameworks, such as Flexbox or Grid
• Experience with automated e2e testing frameworks, such as Cypress or Playwright an advantage
• Solid understanding of SEO concepts and implementation
• Solid understanding of Analytics concepts and implementation, e.g. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager

CMS

• Experience with one or more of the following Content Management Systems: Contentful, Drupal, Sitecore, WordPress, Umbraco, is advantageous

Architecture

• Knowledgeable of headless / composable / JAM Stack architectures. Experience is advantageous
