Minimum Requirements: 

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• GCC Mines & Works (Mechanical) – essential.
• Proven experience in mining machinery, mechanical maintenance and engineering management.
• Winder experience – hands-on experience with mine winding systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of shaft and winding plant operations, maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant mechanical engineering experience within the mining industry.
• Sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and applicable mining regulations.
• Proven experience managing engineering maintenance, projects, shutdowns and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of asset reliability, preventative maintenance and engineering risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
