    Internal Consultant (W&I - Paarl)

    Main responsibilities:

    • Executing all administrative duties relating to investments, including, but not limited to: client onboarding & account opening, investments, additions, payments, repurchases, switches and transfers, assisting with and effective resolution of all client queries
    • Educating clients on technology and platforms available to them to improve their investment administration experience
    • Gathering client information – internally and externally
    • Working with external vendors/product providers and LISPs
    • Researching products and competitors
    • Completing of ad-hoc projects and attendance of relevant training courses and client meetings where required
    • Preparing, printing & binding proposals and reviews 
    • Pre-completing and formatting various documents
    • Providing timely feedback within a compliance context on investment reviews, client remediation and client debtors book, and maintain meticulous client records 
    • Initiating, facilitating & completing of platform transfer requests incl. Section 14, Section 37 & Section 42 transfers both in and out 
    • Building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
    • Problem-solving & troubleshooting to enhance clients' experience
    • Efficient multi-tasking in terms of managing multiple transactions with different cut-off times and dates

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Relevant tertiary qualification is essential (Financial Planning/Investment Planning/B.Com) 
    • Basic knowledge of tax and ability to analyse tax statements (upskill on the job if necessary)
    • Basic knowledge of investment products, asset allocation and risk profiles (upskill on the job if necessary)
    • 2-3 years financial planning or wealth management experience advantageous
    • MS Office Suite, Advanced Excel would be advantageous

    • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, independent thinker

    Digital Product Owner (UK Offshore - Corporate Banking Technology)

    Description

    • The Corporate Banking Digital (CBD) team is dedicated to enhancing the digital client experience for our corporate clients across all channels, including web, mobile, and client servicing. We leverage our expertise in foreign exchange, deposits, and transactional banking to develop and manage innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of private companies. Our focus is on delivering seamless, efficient, and tailored services that empower our clients to thrive in a competitive landscape. As one of the Product Owners for the CBD team you will serve as a voice of the product vision, acting as the daily decision-maker for the team. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize the value produced by the team, ensuring that product stories align with business needs and supporting the team as a proxy for requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy and Business:

    • Develop and own the product roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
    • Shape the product vision and become a business expert with deep knowledge of the domain, enabling you to clearly articulate business priorities to the team. 
    • Understand commercial objectives and contribute towards achieving business outcomes 

     Execution:

    • Lead the delivery and execution of initiatives across cross-functional teams · Translate product roadmap initiatives into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. 
    • Manage the prioritization of the backlog, balancing features and technical debt 
    • Engage with objectives such as OKRs, applying governance understanding and documentation to ensure compliance and quality.

    Market Awareness:

    • Conduct light market research to understand the competitive landscape, including competitors, industry trends, and regulatory impacts on the product. 

    People:

    • Foster alignment with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, adapting communication styles to suit different audiences. · Collaborate closely with the technology team, demonstrating leadership by setting context and culture while managing through coaching and mentoring.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and partners across the business

    Commerciality & Viability:

    • Ensure that launched products/features are commercially viable and align with the defined objectives.
    • Continuously assess platform performance to inform future product decisions and investments

    Data Analytics & Client Insights:

    • Utilize product analytics and data analysis tools (e.g., funnel analysis, heatmaps) to gauge the development and success of features/products.
    • Establish baseline metrics and KPIs for measuring outcomes and objectives, incorporating holistic client feedback for continuous product optimization.

    Product Discovery:

    • Engage in prototyping, usability testing, and competitor research in collaboration with the design team to inform product development

    Product Marketing:

    • Collaborate on go-to-market and launch strategies together with key stakeholders

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    Experience: 

    • Strong product mindset
    • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
    • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
    • Competence in MS Office

    Skills/Knowledge: 

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with innovative, persistent, and determined attributes
    • Creative problem-solver who is collaborative and curious
    • Evidence of strategic and commercial thinking, alongside excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
