    Junior Procurement Buyer

    SUMMARY

    • Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and a passion for supplier management? We are seeking a proactive Junior Procurement Buyer strongo join a fast-paced team and play a key role in ensuring product availability, supplier performance, and cost-effective purchasing
    • Our client is looking to employ a JuniorBuyer based in Pinelands

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage supplier communication regarding stock availability and delivery timelines
    • Place and manage orders across multiple locations
    • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of high-demand products
    • Conduct price checks and negotiate with suppliers
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
    • Process customer and supplier credits accurately
    • Source new products and suppliers
    • Manage trade-in stock and aged stock returns
    • Assist with procurement support for promotions and training initiatives
    • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records

    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • 2–3 years of experience in  procurement, purchasing, buying, or a similar supply chain role/ Retail / Technology background
    • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
    • Good numerical aptitude and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
    • Confident and professional telephone manner
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Computer literacy and proficiency in standard business software

    • Experience and a strong network in the egg-production space
    • Strong understanding of international trade, business administration, and basic finance.
