    Chocolate Advisor Position - Third Key Holder (Mall of Africa Boutique)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates leadership amongst peers by demonstrating personal customer service and selling skills, participating and being fully engaged with the team
    • Supervise employees to complete tasks and achieve goals in the absence of Store Management
    • Manage shop floor and drive sales by addressing customer concerns, motivating and training employees
    • Ensure that merchandising is as per LINDT standards, daily stock replenishment takes place, marketing communication is in order, store cleanliness is as per LINDT standards, all operational tasks completed
    • Open and close the store following proper procedures documented in the opening and closing checklist
    • Ensure doors are opened/closed properly
    • Complete the necessary banking according to the proper procedure
    • Execute lead cashier responsibilities such as returns, exchange, expenses
    • Remain current on all company policies and ensure that all policies, standards, and procedures are maintained and followed in a consistent manner
    • Stays current and up-to-date on all store systems

    Product Knowledge

    • Comprehensive understanding of products including, but not limited to, product specifications (handling, ingredients, storage, allergens)
    • Product pricing, packaging, and category performance knowledge
    • Comply with product management and handling procedures
    • Compliance with food and hygiene and safety standards practicing good hygienic practices

    General

    • Work ethic to reflect the Lindt values and standards as outlined in the Credo and Lindt Policies & Procedures. Lead by example ensuring a harmonious and productive environment
    • Record sampling and wasted products actively quality controlling products
    • Ensure all fixtures, glass cabinets, and floors remain clean and tidy throughout the day
    • Ensure body language, mannerisms, and physical and verbal presentation uphold the company image and grooming policy
    • Accepting courier deliveries and confirming all items are received against the invoice
    • Assisting in stock counts
    • Unpacking, moving, and restocking products

    Work, health, and safety

    • Comply with all work health and safety requirements
    • Report damaged or dangerous equipment or property to management

    Manual Handling

    • Repetitive lifting and moving of Lindt stock which can weigh up to 12kgs per unit
    • Moving stock from storerooms to front of house

    Requirements

    • Confident and interactive with a friendly disposition
    • Excellent communication skills with a strong work ethic that can represent a premium brand
    • Responsible and accountable in achieving individual goals and budgets
    • Good time management skills (multi-tasking and prioritising)
    • Grade 12
    • Customer Service background
    • Polite and patient

    Sales Executive

    Key Responsibilities

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly & yearly Sales budgets
    • Ensuring that expense budgets as set are not exceeded
    • Ensure that all expected call rate of ±8 calls per day is maintained
    • Ensuring that all pre-call preparations are done and proper planning for each call
    • Planning includes weekly, cyclical, and yearly planning
    • Weekly call cycle
    • Call plan to include a Rand value target for each customer (Previous shortfalls to be included in targets) 

    All calls to have the following activities planned:

    • Placing of all orders
    • Stock counts are updated and correct
    • Listed items - customer compliance
    • Merchandising
    • Shelf health
    • Price Indicator labels current and correct
    • Shelf trays are clean and in good shape
    • Stock pressure
    • Stock rotation (no expired stock found, action taken with near dated stock)
    • Correct Layout
    • In store display maintained
    • Point of sale material management
    • Promotional material is available and meets Quality standards
    • Build relationship with Store manager, Regional manager and all relevant staff that has influence on orders and shelf space
    • Negotiating of free displays and increase shelf space

    Promotional Review

    • On every call during the promotional period progress must be discussed with the manager/owner of the store
    • Make use of COGNOS and IRI data provided to discuss performance

    Negotiated promotional elements must include:

    • Increased shelf space
    • Moving to eye level if not already on eye level
    • Gondola end display or on Shelf display
    • Reduction in the Retail Selling price
    • Increase in stock holding
    • Sales out of the customer must be monitored
    • Reports to be completed via handheld device while calling on customers
    • Monthly reports by area performance, reasons for success and failures
    • Action plans for underperforming stores
    • Make use of the handheld device to collate and keep accurate data on calls completed and customers information
    • Working closely with our Merchandising partners
    • Being responsible for the supervision, ongoing training of merchandisers in store
    • Being in contact with the RSM daily
    • Reporting of non-compliance to L&S Regional Sales Manager
    • Make use of COGNOS and IRI data provided in negotiations

    • Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

     Qualifications/experience

    • A minimum of two years' relevant experience

    • Makro
    • Relevant diploma/ degree would be advantageous
