    Manager: Security Services

    Role Description

    • Take a supportive role in projects, managing less experienced engineers to ensure a successful outcome to the project.
    • Provide technical support on networking security products for lower tier engineers at customers and in LIT.
    • Provide architectural diagrams and concepts to meet company solution requirements.
    • Implement, upgrade and maintain products in the network security stack.
    • Develop standard operating procedures and guides for junior resources to refer to in future engagements.
    • Stays abreast with latest cyber security product developments and bring new technology solutions to the table in order to meet customer requirements more effectively.
    • Act as Managerial resource for service degradation and outages.
    • Create meaningful reporting to allow management to make informed decisions around risk reduction and future investment.
    • Be confident in providing a managed security service across a range of cyber security products such as: AV, EDR, Firewalls, VPN’s, IDS/IPS, NAC and network analytics platforms.
    • Ensure that tickets on the incident management system are closed out timeously and aligned to SLA’s where applicable.
    • Ensure that there is a development plan in place for the SecOps team in terms of training and development.
    • Manage and support tasks assigned to SecOps team members and ensure effective and timeous delivery.

    Minimum expectations are that applicants can address the below: 

    • Management and monitoring of the mentioned solutions.
    • Optimization of configuration of the mentioned solutions.
    • Policy enablement and amendments where applicable.
    • Assurance reporting and alert response where applicable.
    • Assist with incident response and remediation when so required.
    • Raise and / or Escalate concerns.

    Requirements
    Qualifications Required:

    • Matric is mandatory and a degree or diploma will have preference.
    • At least one cyber security related qualification required with preference given to Cisco and FortiGate firewall technologies.

    Experience Required:

    • The role requires that the individual has at least 3-5 years’ experience in this field of cyber security expertise with emphasis on network security operations. Priority will be given to candidates with Cisco and Fortinet experience. Actual experience and specific client references regarding the above-mentioned areas of specialization is mandatory.
    • Proven track record of effectively delivering MSS for the stated security solutions at customers.
    • Two years’ experience in large scale Security operations using cyber security products.
    • Two years’ experience on two or more of the following firewall vendors: Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint.
    • Two years’ experience on one or more of the following vendors: Netskope, Symantec AV, McAfee AV, Microsoft Defender.
    • Evidence of capability to optimize the stated security solution deployments at customers.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of teams.
    • Experience in responding to day-to-day cloud and data requests at customers will be key to our decision.
    • Record of relationship building, proven by provided client references.

    Mechanical Engineer: Technical Operations

    Key Result Areas

    Mechanical Infrastructure Management 

    • Accountable to the Data Centre Manager for data centre Mechanical functionality and support to site Managers and MEP providers 
    • Accountable for Data Centre energy efficiency – ensure that the infrastructure is operated to minimize the energy consumption without compromising reliability. 
    • Responsible for continuous technical support for any Mechanical changes to Site configuration for Mechanical works.

    Technical Support on Mechanical Infrastructure 

    • Responsible for quality inspection on Electrical works in any live environments ensuring that all defects and snags are identified and fixed.   
    • Responsible to list all defects and snags identified during construction, project completion and live operation. Ensure that all defects and snags are fixed timeously
    • Responsible for technical support to operations teams and contractors with any changes to the design. 

    Data Centre Mechanical reassurance and sign off

    • Ensuring that any changes to live environments are in line with the Operational standard and communicated to all parties involved in a project.
    • Witness level 5 commissioning on development projects.
    • Assist all sites on Incidents, RCA and SLD and ensure that where needed analysis is being done to high impact incidents 

    Standards and Documentation 

    • Prepare and coordinate all scenario and desk top exercises on the Mechanical installation on all sites
    • Establish a system to consistently review and score OEM service delivery.
    • Conduct a thorough review of critical infrastructure training programs and scenario tests.

    Communication effectiveness

    • Responsible for effective communications between the operations, projects and professional design teams.
    • Foster open communication channels between different departments, especially Engineering.
    • Responsible for customer technical support to Sales Team (Deal reviews, special requirements and Site configurations and capacities)

    Operational Engineering Consistency 

    • Ensure that the latest Operational standards are applied on all ADC sites
    • Ensure that all actions or gaps identified after incident are implemented on all sites.
    • Ensured that improvement and initiatives identified on one site are replicated to all other sites. (If feasible and possible according to site constraint) 

    Requirements

    Formal Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
    • Professionally registered
    • Certified Data Centre Professional/ Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager
    • Master’s in mechanical engineering is an added advantage

    Experience

    • 7 years experience in an operational mission critical environment.
    • 3 years experience with Electrical project design & delivery 
    • 5 years experience in Data Centre design & delivery
    • 3 years experience in operational engineering role
    • 5 years significant Data Centre commissioning and acceptance experience 
    • 4-7 years working experience in occupational health and safety
