Introduction

The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all activities relating to specific site. The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating employees performance, ensure project goals , targets are met and also investigate work-related accidents. The supervisor must be able to manage project materials and resources as well as oversee the use of equipment and tools and be able to correctly interpret plans, and drawings. Ultimately, you should demonstrate excellent management and problem-solving skills as well as enforce compliance with safety regulations.

• Supervising Labourers and tasks
• Planning and organising of daily tasks

• Completing and submitting of daily documentation in due time
• Reporting of problems encountered during daily tasks
• Keeping a strict time schedule to ensure targets are met
• Ensuring efficiency of plant, tools and employees

Qualifications:

• Construction Regulations Certificate

• At least 12 month Site Construction exposure and experience
• Previous appointment as Supervisor with relevant certificates
• High job demand in tight turnaround time requirement
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• People management

Job description

Minimum requirements

• Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
• Grade 12
• Drilling Certificate and/or License
• Load Haul Dumper/Dump Truck Certificate and/or License
• EB Drivers’ License
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Blasting Certificate (Advantageous) 

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At Least 8 years drilling experience on trackless mining operation
• Experience in training Drill Operators and monitoring their performance
• Good knowledge and experience of mechanised mining operations
• Proven track record of production achievements
• Preference will be given to candidates with mechanized bolting/drilling experience
• Operating a Twin Boom drill rig with split feeds, drilling the development end face and capable of installing weld mesh and split sets as well as drilling and installing quick-chem resin bolts with the same machine
• Preference will be given to candidates with mechanized bolting experience.
• Medically fit for underground work
