    Sales Support Agent

    Job description

    In this role, you will be responsible for effectively supporting the sales force to achieve and maximise targets ensuring the commercial success of the airline in the area of responsibility. You will create maximum awareness of QR products and services.

    Specific Accountabilities Include

    • Providing maximum technical support to the Sales Force to ensure increased awareness of QR products and services
    • Providing reports on daily loads, advanced booking profile, route performance and utilisation reports to the Sales Force to keep them updated on the load situation
    • Participating actively in all exhibitions/promotions/targets/workshops/events organised by QR ensuring the correct exposure and awareness of the company in order to achieve maximum Return on Investment (ROI) with clients
    • Supporting the Commercial Manager with administrative, sales and marketing activities related to the Sales Department
    • Maintaining regular contacts with the travel industry and corporate houses and assists them on their airline needs e.g. reservation bookings/confirmations and special discounted fares.

    Direct Sales Manager

    Job description

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing revenues from direct sales channels, and increasing the contribution of direct sales to overall revenue generated within South Africa. This position develops and delivers on agreed strategic direction and revenue targets for direct sales. You will also provide leadership on a strategic and commercial level to all e-commerce and reservations and ticketing staff within South Africa.

    Specific Accountabilities Include

    • Taking overall responsibility for delivery of performance against all applicable revenue and operational targets across South Africa.
    • Managing all e-commerce staff and the reservation and ticketing staff in the CPT and JNB Town Offices to maximise revenue whilst also providing high levels of customer service to all customers
    • Developing and implementing annual sales plans in coordination with Country Manager with clear and measurable targets for both e-commerce and Reservations channels
    • Identifying, planning and implementing sales initiatives, e-marketing activities, to increase online share and grow the email database
    • Motivating and coaching the team to deliver their part of the operational plan for Town Office, Airport Ticket Desks, Telephone Sales and e-commerce sales on a daily basis in line with sales, customer and operating performance targets whilst maintaining company standards and professionalism
