    Security System Technician x3 - GSMD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Plan and conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on physical security systems across the SARB Group facilities to ensure that all systems remain functional and serviceable.
    • Monitor, review and maintain the operational status of all physical electronic security systems across the SARB Group facilities.
    • Provide consolidated maintenance reports that include findings, recommendations and remedial actions.
    • Provide first- and second-line responses to security system faults across the SARB Group to ensure that investigative diagnostics are conducted and faults are attended to by either being repaired or replaced.
    • Manage third-line technical escalation support and remedial action plans on deployed physical electronic security systems across the SARB Group to ensure that all systems remain serviceable.
    • Install, configure and test replacements components for physical electronic security systems.
    • Analyse, collate and escalate technical serviceability information to the Team Leader: Security Systems Technical Support for reporting, planning, decision-making and third-party incident management.
    • Provide expert technical input on projects and initiatives, including end-to-end research, design, build and run methodology for all physical electronic security systems.
    • Provide quality assurance for installation and maintenance support performed by service providers to ensure compliance with SARB standards and instructions.
    • Source and provide technical information for the procurement process of all electronic security systems equipment, services and vendor support to ensure all requirements meet SARB technical specifications and standards before approval by the Team Leader: Security Systems Technical Support.
    • Identify opportunities for the integration, collaboration and interfacing of physical electronic security systems with other systems and guide their implementation.
    • Manage relationships with all stakeholders, vendors, role players and service providers to ensure that all systems remain functional and serviceable.
    • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices and apply these in the course of own work.
    • Perform standby duties and perform after-hours maintenance work, where applicable.

    Qualifications

    Job requirements

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • a National Diploma in Information Technology, Systems Development or Electronics (NQF 6) or an equivalent qualification;
    • an N+ certification (will be an added advantage);
    • registered or eligible for registration for PSIRA Grace C; 
    • three to five years’ experience in an electronic security and information technology systems environment, with specific emphasis on the installation, maintenance and repairs of physical security systems; and
    • the physical capability of performing the inherent requirements of the role, including prolonged periods of standing, working at heights and working in confined spaces, in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements.

    Contractor: Administrator - Personnel Security Vetting

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Act as the first point of contact for all South African Reserve Bank (SARB) personnel security vetting processes.
    • Schedule vetting appointments and liaise professionally with applicants on behalf of the SARB throughout the vetting process.
    • Receive personnel security vetting clearance questionnaires for all SARB applicants.
    • Capture applicants’ fingerprints and liaise with the South African PS Criminal Record Centre for security vetting purposes. 
    • Capture and maintain vetting-related information on all vetting databases and systems.
    • Conduct credit bureau and educational verifications for pre-employment screening. 
    • Provide administrative support to the PSV Section, including records management and data capturing (filing, scanning, archiving and retrieving of documentation).
    • Provide stakeholders with regular updates on the applicants’ vetting status. 
    • Keep abreast of leading practices in security management.

    Senior Financial Markets Specialist - FMD

    Job Description

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key performance areas: 

    • Stay abreast of financial markets developments and provide accurate market information, commentary and recommendations on a regular basis.
    • Conduct high-quality qualitative and quantitative research, analyses and interpretation of domestic and international financial markets in support of the formulation and implementation of monetary policy and for financial stability purposes.

    Lead – Domestic Scheme and Rules Management -NPSD

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Maintain and review the effectiveness of the Constitution, settlement rules and payment scheme, including the terms of reference of governance structures and committees.
    • Coordinate relevant governance structures and forums for the management of settlement rules.

    Senior Compliance Analyst -RMCD

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Develop, maintain and embed SARB Group compliance management frameworks, methodologies, processes and systems while implementing associated policies.
    • Develop risk management quality criteria and perform quality reviews on compliance risk management outcomes.
