    Fund Accountant

    Job Purpose

    TMF Fund Services is an independent alternative fund administrator with over two decades of experience in providing an extensive range of services, coupled with a very personal approach. We combine our technology, expertise and global infrastructure to deliver a customized package of services to our clients. These include: Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Portfolio & Managed Account Services, Depositary and Corporate Services.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated SPVs, processing of transactions in the fund accounting system
    • Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the preparation of investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad hoc investor requests
    • Assist with the completion of routine audit queries
    • Prepare periodic bank reconciliations
    • Managing and controlling the AR/AP function

    Your Profile

    • Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance (Bachelor or Master degree)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably for Alternative Funds (Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt)
    • Strong desire to undertake a professional qualification
    • Strong communication skills
    • Computer literacy skills are essential
    • Other characteristics: accurate, self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team, deadline driven and able to maintain a portfolio of clients

    Fund Services, Onboarding and Investor AML-KYC Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • You will be overseeing, managing, and motivating a team consisting of AML/KYC Assistants and Officers responsible for the collection, review, preparation and sign off of KYC files for fund clients and investors
    • You will ensure that an equal service delivery is maintained among fund clients and investors 
    • You will assess the level of risk inherent to each fund client and investor to determine a risk-based approach in line with TMF's internal policy
    • You will uphold that work is performed in a standardized manner while ensuring a best practice methodology is applied to all AML/KYC activities performed by the team members
    • You will service as a communication and escalation bridge between fund clients, investors, management and compliance 
    • You will ensure a professional, timely response and processing of fund client & investor queries and instructions
    • You will assist with special projects, including improvements to tools and equipment, which may rise from time to time
    • You will populate, update and monitor completeness of relevant internal systems with CDD, client and other related information and documentation for client onboarding and investor AML/KYC purposes
    • You will provide support to any internal and external audits as well as compliance reviews
    • You will help the Onboarding and Investor AML/KYC team members when needed

    Key Requirements

    • You have at least a Bachelor's degree in finance or finance (with law), banking and finance, law and management, business administration, or a related discipline
    • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in an AML/KYC and/or CDD environment
    • You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in managing a large team
    • You have a sound understanding of Know Your Customer requirements and international standards requirements in relation thereto.
    • You have strong research and analytical skills
    • You have high attention to detail, accuracy and excellent organizational skills (essential for this role)
    • You have strong multi-tasking skills
    • You have a strong sense of responsibility and a service-minded attitude
    • You are able to work in a team as well as independently
    • You are able to deal with competing pressures
    • You are dynamic and enthusiastic
    • You have good communication skills, both verbal and written in English

    Junior Legal Officer

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Accumulate documents for resignation, nomination of directors or managers, change of registered address;
    • Preparation of documentation regarding the set-up of a Luxembourg entity;
    • Prepare service agreements, loan, and resolution;
    • Maintain necessary documents for the Chamber of Commerce;
    • Ensure all client files are itemized accurately;
    • Manage opening bank accounts and control on bank signatories;
    • Organize regular meetings with clients and advisors;
    • Draft the minutes of (Annual) General Shareholders Meetings.

    Your Profile

    • Portuguese Speaking
    • Relevant work experience of at least 2 years
    • University degree in Law
    • Ability to take ownership of tasks
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal efficiently with different external counterparts
    • People-oriented and keen to collaborate with team members
    • Excellent command of English, French is an asset
