    (Talent Pool) Planner

    Job Description
    Candidate will have perform the following duties;

    • To produce schedules for complex projects or linked projects forming programmes
    •  To help us prepare tenders to secure new work
    •  To provide intelligence-based schedules for construction projects, using experience and site knowledge
    •  To analyse contractors’ schedules to identify excessive activity durations with a view to accelerating delivery
    •  NEC contracts and the contractual requirement to accept or reject contractor programmes

     

    Qualifications
    Candidate will hold the following qualification,

    •  Currently a Planner/Senior Planner with consultancy, contractor and/or client-side experience minimum of 8 - 10 years
    •  Must use Primavera (P6)
    •  Experience working on projects ranging must be new build/fit-out related across Residential, Mixed-use and Commercial
    •  Professionally/Degree qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management and engineering

    (Talent Pool) Project Controls Manager

    Job Description

    Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to work on exciting large-scale projects in Real Estate, Retail, Commercial, Oil & Gas, Energy and Mining sector

    As Project Controls Manager, you will deliver, maintain and manage a standard and consistent full suite of Project Controls, i.e. Cost Estimating, Cost Management, Planning & Scheduling, Risk Management, Contract Administration and Information Management Delivery to a Program Management Office (PMO) or to a Program Controls function. The role may also require to provide leadership at project level if other resources are assigned to the project as well as elements of business and team management.

    The Project Controls Manager will have a minimum of 6 - 10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

    The role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.

    Depending on the development phase of the projects within program, accountabilities can be summarized as management and enablement of the following activities:

     

    • Establish and implement the project controls process and system.

    • Identify, implement and maintain the complete controls structure, tools and procedures needed for the program based on the contracting strategy, execution plan and the risks identified for different projects.

    • Provide strategic guidance to the program controls team consistent with the different project’s execution strategy.

    • Lead the development of cost management, scheduling and progress monitoring procedures.

    • Provide project management support in the development of the work breakdown structure, activities, logic, resources and progress of the integrated project schedule, i.e. baseline.

    • Apply cost forecast best practice and EVM techniques to determine and communicate the possible range of cost and schedule outcomes for the project

    • Responsible to produce the monthly project financial reports, comprehensive of variance analysis.

    • Review scope change requests for the total installed cost & schedule impact

    • Identify, Assess and monitor the project risks.

    Qualifications

    • Engineering / Construction Management / Quantity Surveying Degree and/or Certification as Project Controls Manager or equivalent.

    • Minimum of 6+.years industry experience in project controls management positions across all project phases.

    • Confident and able to lead projects in own right, but when necessary to work as part of a senior delivery team.

    • Strong interpersonal skills to train and develop teams.

    • Robust and methodical analytical skills, adaptable, with experience leading effective teams.

    • Experience in driving new and existing business development opportunities.

    • Able to prepare, define and lead on bid proposals, and work closely alongside other Associate Directors and Directors.

    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with excellent report and bid writing skills and demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to relate and communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds at all levels in the industry..
