    RPG Developer

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Build new RPG programs and modify existing programs to meet requirements
    • Providing analysis and design of back office software
    • Troubleshoot software/job failures and work with staff to resolve
    • Ensure programs are kept in proper working order
    • Manage the software repository and program documentation
    • Maintain log of failures and work with staff to reduce or eliminate
    • Participate in data backups and recovery testing
    • Support the team in managing system resources to ensure adequacy for job performance


    Qualifications and Skills 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Technical equivalent
    • At least 5 years solid RPGLE development experience
    • Proven ability to quickly identify and resolve program defects
    • Experience using IBM Rational IDE
    • Experience with XML and JSON
    • Integration with 3rd party services via webservice. E.g. SOAP and RESTful API
    • Proficient in SQL400
    • CLLE


    Additional preferred skills

    • Web Front-end technology (e.g. PHP/JS) experience
    • Fully free-form RPG

    PHP Developer

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Developing new software solutions
    • Maintenance on existing software
    • User support
    • Providing assistance as required to direct line manager
    • Providing assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
    • Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers


    Qualifications and Skills 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Technical equivalent
    • At least 8 years solid development experience
    • HTML5, JavaScript, NodeJS, GIT, AJAX, Bootstrap and PHP experience
    • RESTful API webservices
    • Proficient in SQL
    • Server Administration
    • Analytical / Problem solving skills
    • IT technical skills
    • Systems Analysis and Design skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Communication skills (verbal, listening & written)
    • Results & deadline driven
    • Agile experience


    Preference will be given to

    • IBM AS400 / iSeries server background
    • PHP AS400 / iSeries integration
    • AURA Easycom for PHP experience
