Your responsibilities include:

• Attend and conduct Safety meeting and participate in Risk assessments
• Allocate tasks to subordinates and attend to Breakdowns and emergencies as required
• Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
• Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
• Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components
• Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
• Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
• Attending to Breakdowns and emergencies as required

This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Or equivalent or Technical Trade Specific N3
• Auto electrical or Milright trade certificate
• Any other additional Trade Certificate will be advantageous

To be successful, you will have the following experience:

• At least 2 years experience as a artisan in the mechanized underground mine
• Experience on SANDVIK, LP, Epirok XLP and Fermel mediator equipment
• Basic Computer Literacy
• English literate (speak, read and write)
• Driver’s license code 08 with own transport
• Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures
• Working overtime and standby
• Willing to work shifts, permanent day or night or fulco.

Job Description

As the Section Manager Production Geology the responsibility is to provide specialist geological service to the mine and driving value exploitation of the ore resources. You will be required to:

• Manage safety, occupational health, risks and hygiene standards on site.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standard requirement.
• Good understanding and compilation of geological models.
• Accurately and timeously classify material on predicted blast blocks in terms of grade and tonnage.
• Management of final blast block demarcations.
• Delivery on value based ore control deliverables and geological reconciliations.
• Coordinate infill drilling and effective contractor management.
• Managing data integrity.
• Manages data acquisition activities, ensuring resources have the capacity and capabilities to satisfy requirements.
• Applying geology knowledge, interpretation, documentation and enabling technical excellence to support mining activities.
• Planning, coordinating, and executing MRM Projects.
• Guide the department and team on deliverables.
• Development and coaching team members.
• Budget and cost control management.

This role is in the Geology department at a Band 6 reporting to the Manager: Geology

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate.
• BSc in Geology.
• BSc Honours in Geology.
• Registered member (full) of SACNASP.
• Driver’s Licence: Code B (Light Vehicle).

Experience:

• 5 years relevant Production Geology experience.
• Open pit experience will be advantageous.
• Iron ore knowledge is advantageous.

Job Description

• As a Multi Discipline Repairperson (Electrical) you will work hand in hand with the Engineering Foreman.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Receive and follow instructions from Engineering Foreman/Artisan
• Perform necessary maintenance and repair work on equipment.
• Perform basic fault-finding activities on defective units and maintenance actions.
• Request equipment and stock requisitions required
• Completing job cards and description of work and spares used
• Perform dismantling, repair, re-assembly and installation tasks
• Report any malfunctioning to Engineering Foreman/Artisan - Complying with maintenance/breakdown schedules
• Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work.
• procedures and identifying unsafe work practices.
• Performs work outside normal working hours when required.

This role is in the Engineering department at a B6 level reporting to the Electrical Foreman.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science and/or a Full Technical N2, Electrical
• Engineering Repairperson Certificate (Electrical) obtained at ESTC or a Recognised Electrician Trade Test Certificate obtained from ESTC on an 18.1 appointment at Anglo American

Experience:

18+ months experience in maintenance and repair work on electrical engineering equipment

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid South African Driver’s License advantageous
• Must be prepared to do standby duties and work overtime when required.
