    Administrative Specialist, Quotes & Estimates, Air & Sea

    Main Purpose of The Role

    • The main purpose of the role will be reporting into the Estimates Manager and ensuring that all pricing exercises or estimates for general cargo are completed CargoWise at a high level of professionalism.

    Job-Related Requirements

    • Matric 
    • B. Com Logistics/Supply Chain Management would be beneficial but not a requirement
    • Must have a minimum 3 years' freight forwarding experience, in both air, ocean and road operations
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in pricing and estimates 
    • Own vehicle a must, driver’s license, ability to travel

    Electives

    • Understanding of international freight forwarding
    • Experience in a multi-cultural, multinational operation
    • Good communicator verbal & written
    • Team player
    • Analytical thinker
    • Effective administration skills and well organzised
    • Must be methodical and precise in their work.
    • Must understand the freight forwarding process, global requirements, and service providers / industry players.
    • Punctuality and time management skills are critical.

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Pricing for RFP’s, Client Adhoc Quotations, RFQs, and any other pricing related exercises except tenders.
    • Working with the tools provided to deliver consistent, competitive pricing within the agreed KPI’s
    • Developing bespoke client solutions where this adds value
    • Following a detailed set of processes & procedures
    • Developing pricing strategies
    • Managing internal & external client expectations
    • Working together with the Sales, CRM, Revenue Management, and the Pricing Teams
    • Providing management with information to allow them to make commercial decisions
    • Quality checking estimates prior to submission to clients if tender related
    • Assist team cohesiveness

    Sales Assistant, Telesales

    Main purpose of the role

    • Retain current business base and to ensure growth on the base.
    • Also be able to source leads and do tele-sales from a new business aspect
    • Sell the services and solutions for the company

    Computer Literacy Level

    • Intermediate - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

    Job-related Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the industry within a sales department
    • Ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues at various organizational levels
    • Skills of achieving targets and generating new leads
    • Must be patient, persuasive and persistent
    • Punctuality and good time management skills
    • Good administrative & daily planning skills
    • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment/technology

    Duties & responsibilities

    • Implementation accounts – process and project management
    • Manage client relationship.  Must make contact with each customer allocated to their base on a monthly basis as per masses
    • Needs to make new tele-sales calls weekly
    • Weekly capturing of activities and minutes of meetings onto the MS Dynamics Platform (CRM)
    • Monthly billing and financial reporting to customers (if needed)
    • General administrative duties
    • Managing of the customer base DSO’s (ensure that clients are up to date with their payments)
    • Must be able to assist with ClientZone queries and training when needed
    • Ensure required monthly targets & masses are met
