Main purpose of the role

• The role of a Quality Engineer is to ensure that all actions in the Plant comply with the requirement of the FES, and to do so considering customer, Quality, Division, Business Group and Corporate guidelines.

Essential responsibilities and duties

The main missions of the role are:

• Represent customer requirements internally.
• Customer representative.
• Quick reaction to NOK parts found on customer line.
• Assist with the achievement of Plant Quality objectives and monitor progress.
• Define OK/NOK boundary samples with customer and set standard for production.
• Manage New Project and Engineer Change submissions to the customer.
• Monitor adherence of activities to the control plan and standard work instructions, initiate corrections if necessary
• Active participation in QRCI activity.
• Ensure compliance with all Safety/regulation standards.
• Compilation of Quality results and maintenance of Quality records/documentation.
• Implement containment and ensure effectiveness.
• Preparation of documentation and customer feedback on quality problems/ complaints.
• Interrupt the manufacturing or the delivery of products when Quality is not assured.

Qualifications and position requirements

Minimum education level:  

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering / Quality Sciences.

Experience :

• Process orientated with customer relationship experience.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry
• Minimum of 5 years experience in quality.

Skills and competencies:

• Solid knowledge of Quality Management Systems in Production.
• Proven oral and written communication skills with English and computer literate.
• Established decisive team player.

Main purpose of the role

• The Supervisor is to coordinate and supervise all activities of the department required to meet shift targets.

Essential responsibilities and duties

As a Supervisor, your main responsibilities are as follows: 

• Production Planning
• Co-coordinating all activities of the department including shifts
• Ordering and ensuring raw materials conform to process requirements
• Ensure machines are utilized efficiently in order to meet set targets
• Check quality and record and report deviations (ISO TS 16949)
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental standards are maintained
• Plan machine maintenance downtime in consultation with Maintenance
• Conduct training and appraising of employees
• Ensure all departmental budgets are met
• Control material utilization and minimize waste
• Provide good customer service and communication
• Promote good employee relations
• Complete daily reports accurately and on time
• Deal with daily industrial relation problems
• Ensure all manufacturing systems are maintained
• Ensure the factory is opened and closed daily
• Carry out monthly stock takes
• Apply & enforce FES principles

Qualifications and position requirements

• National Diploma or other relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Faurecia Excellence System.
• Good technical product and process knowledge.
• Strong communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to plan, organize and control
• Ability to motivate a workforce
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Self-disciplined
• Good communicator
