    General Woorker - Gauteng

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with Team Leader / Supervisor to achieve planned operational targets
    • Perform Inspections on designated areas of responsibility every day.
    • Follow work instructions given by the Superior for any specific task in line with operational requirements.
    • Assist with the problem-solving of operational challenges and report any deviations to the immediate Supervisor.
    • Adhering to discipline procedures in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
    • Always ensure good housekeeping and good teamwork.
    • Adhere to all Safety rules and regulations as per all safety legislation and company procedures.
    • Includes some spotting duties for machinery and holding a flag.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum Grade 12/ Matric.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Some exposure/ experience in the mining or related industry for at least 2 years will be advantageous.

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to read and write in English.
    • Self-discipline.
    • Good leadership skills.

    Team Leader - Gauteng

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise and coordinate the shift.
    • Perform Inspections on designated area of responsibility every day.
    • Planning and managing of tailings material on site and at depositing areas.
    • Follow work instructions given by the Superior for any specific task in line with operational requirements as well as work plan.
    • Assist with the problem-solving of operational challenges and report any deviations to the immediate Supervisor.
    • Adhering to discipline procedures in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
    • Manage the discipline and performance of the team.
    • Manage company property and assets in a good manner.
    • Always ensure good housekeeping and good teamwork.
    • Adhere to all Safety rules and regulations as per all safety legislation and company procedures.
    • Ensure that employees are working safely and wear the correct PPE.
    • Conduct toolbox talk meetings and ensure risk assessment for any task is done with the team.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Grade 12 /Matric
    • Code 10  Drivers License

    EXPERIENCE :

    • At least 2-3  years in mining operations with 1 year in supervisory capacity.

    Senior Superintendent - Gauteng

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business/Functional Management

    • Execute project responsibilities in line with organizational strategy to achieve set goals.
    • Implement efficient production processes and ensure profitable project outcomes.
    • Lead various teams of leaders to deliver business objectives. 

    Financial, Commercial & Contracts Management

    • Manage contract commercial terms including terminations, dispute resolution, force majeure, escalations and profitability.
    • Manage costs and production within project budget, cost, and time targets. 

    Risk Management & Compliance, incl. ESG responsibility

    • Ensure the company's policy on social responsibility is adhered to be fully aware of the content and impact of new contracts i.e. General Conditions of Contract, Special Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings.
    • Be aware of relevant legislation relating to the contract - as related to project operational execution and governance.

    Stakeholder Management (Internal/External)

    • Promote ongoing open communication with the Client representatives and other client managers through appropriate
    • forums and interfaces to foster good relations between FAT and the Client.
    • Manage interface with other client contractors and operations on site and local communities.

    Operations & Project Management

    • Undertake the implementation of company procedures and project objectives on a specific project(s) in their area of responsibility
    • Responsible for project execution and risk management on one or multiple sites - within budget, scope, timelines, productivity, and SHEQ standards.

    SHEQ Management

    • Oversee the implementation of the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality plans and compliance,
    • Role responsible for executing the Zero Harm mandate.

    People Management

    • Lead, and manage project execution teams.
    • Support, guide and coach teams.

    Culture & Climate

    • Build a culture of continuous improvement for the duration of the project
    • Align with client culture requirements as agreed with the Project Management team to enhance the client relationship
    • Drive the Division’s employee value proposition and decent work principles.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BSc Degree / B Tech/qualification Mining / Metallurgy / Chemical / Civil or similar)
    • Project & General management qualification would be advantageous
    • Re-mining qualifications would be advantageous
    • Mineral Processing course
    • Mineral Residue Disposal course (MRD 101)

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least five years of relevant experience with respect of managing a re- mining sites
    • Proven production management exposure as a Superintendent (Re-mining)
    • General Mining Production experience would be an advantage
    • Proven practical and hands-on experience in the management of leaders, labour, and plant resources.
    • Experience in planning and commissioning projects, preferably on re-mining operations.
    • At least 5 years experience in a management role, preferably in a re-mining environment.

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Solid knowledge of Mining, Production, and Tailings Industries with a specific emphasis on the Tailings business.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the national legislation, standards, and bylaws applicable to the Tailings business.
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of technical and operational aspects core to the tailings and mining industry.
    • Excellent Commercial astuteness.
