Key Responsibilities

The role is responsible for assisting senior advisers in providing financial advice to private clients in accordance with FAIS legislation and according to Investec's professional financial advice guidelines. The overarching objective is to offer holistic financial planning, which includes analysis of the client's financial affairs (including a risk analysis, pre- and post-retirement planning and intergenerational wealth planning); development of a financial plan for the client; solutioning for the client using Investec's life insurance and investment products; and ensuring that proper record keeping of advice is maintained

• Provide a consistent and coordinated client experience ensuring credibility of the Private Bankers and Senior Advisers
• Assist in keeping the Private Bankers informed in all activities with the clients

• Support the sales and marketing of the Investec Life and My Investment product range with other distribution or service channels when required
• Act as the essential link between clients, bankers, advisers, and adviser consultants, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. . Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Relevant tertiary qualification and CFP would be preferred (or studying towards)
• Two to four years' experience in client support or administration, preferably in financial services

• Investec Sandton is looking for a Full stack developer (at least 3 years' experience) in the Private Bank Tech – Property team who will be part of the full application life cycle including, but not limited to, the evaluation of business requirements, system analysis and design, writing of technical specifications and diagrams, programming, unit testing, maintenance, and technical support of our applications

Experience, skill and capability

• Proficient in Programming Languages: JavaScript, Typescript, .NET, C#
• Front-end Development: Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks – Angular - to build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces
• Back-end Development: Proficiency in server-side programming using frameworks and technologies such as Node.js, ASP.NET, to handle server logic, data storage, and integration with databases
• Databases and Query Languages: Experience working with relational databases and understanding of SQL query languages, along with Liquibase understanding (advantageous)
• API Development and Integration: Ability to design, build, and consume RESTful APIs, as well as integrate with external APIs and services to exchange data between systems
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git and understanding of branching, merging, and resolving conflicts to collaborate effectively with other developers
• Responsive Design and CSS Frameworks: Advantageous to have understand responsive design principles and experience with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation to create visually appealing and mobile-friendly web applications

You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle from conception to deployment of each new product. As a Full Stack Developer, you need to be comfortable around both the front and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. Develop and maintaining web applications. Create automated and scalable solutions. Develop reusable code and libraries for future use. Translate UI and UX wireframes to visual elements of the application. Integrate frontend and backend aspects of the application. Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software. Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Software development related certification or Tertiary degree in the relevant field is required
• 5+ Years of development experience using the following languages and their respective frameworks:

• Typescript - Angular2+
• A good knowledge of the following tools and processes are required:
• Use source control, primarily using git
• Understanding of design principles behind scalable applications and REST APIs
• Experience of writing unit tests and integration tests in projects using languages mentioned above
• Understand CI/CD processes and their automation
• Understanding of deployment into containerized environments, using Kubernetes and Azure cloud services
