    Senior Manager: Planning, Budgeting and Performance Reporting

    Mission/Core purpose of the Job
    Lead the formulation of strategy, budget, planning and performance reporting activities for the business unit whilst ensuring alignment with overall Group.
    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    • Formulate the overall Consumer busines plan strategy and supporting functional initiatives with guidance and inputs from Consumer Leadership Team.
    • Lead the annual Business Plan target setting process for Consumer i.e. formulation of Group top down guidance (financial and non-financials) per market and detailed review of bottom up submissions.
    • Conduct scenario analysis and modelling to arrive at realistic and planned targets for achievement.
    • Continuous monitoring and performance reporting on progress of key performance indicators against budget, plans and rolling forecasts; highlighting gaps vs budget to General Manager.
    • Ensure Consumer Performance reporting is continuously aligned to reflect changes in business strategy and execution (including input at IGov Co around supporting definitions around key performance indicators etc).
    • Drive the entire process around annual Opex and Capex budgeting for Consumer (including rolling forecasts), working closely with Group Finance;
    • Monthly analysis of Opex/Capex spend vs budget and rolling forecasts (including full analysis of general ledger to understand YTD spend), continuous reporting of over/under spends to General Manager.
    • Provide analysis and develop insights to business unit on cost leadership initiatives including resource allocations, within the business vertical.
    • Support the various Group Consumer Functional areas by provide financial evaluation on various proposals for investments, Capex and Opex items (including provision of underlying financial/non- financial data to various areas).
    • Input around budgets and performance reporting at requisite Consumer interlock sessions.
    • Continual support to GCOO function and all other necessary stakeholders within the Group and Opcos.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education:

    • Minimum 4 year academic degree with Honours
    • CA (SA); MBA/Master’s degree (advantageous)
    • English (mandatory), French and Arabic (as advantage)

    Experience:

    • Minimum 6 – 8 years’ experience
    • Minimum 3 years senior management experience
    • Minimum 5 years of sector, industry or area of specialization
    • Experience in global /multinational business environment
    • Experience in leading change / transformation (marketing) at an operational level advantageous
    • Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices
    • Experience in customer value creation
    • Experience in campaign management

    Specialist: Security Automation

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    • The Specialist Security Automation forms part of the MTN group security architecture and technical excellence team responsible for the implementation of capabilities to perform automation and implementation of key processes. The role provides key technical support and guidance in terms of technical security standards configuration profiles, test security configurations in the security lab and assists in performing proof-of-concept deployments of advanced technologies such as software defined perimeter. The role shall support the above requirements to ensure that the security posture in MTN Opco’s improves in a sustainable manner.

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)
    The Specialist Security Automation is responsible for the following Key Performance Areas

    • Perform development to support technical security standards for critical assets
    • Automate technical remediation of mission critical and high-risk incident remediation
    • Automate security quality assurance on new critical assets before deployment
    • Provide technical support to OPCOs whenever the need arises.
    • Automate repetitive security operational processes
    • Provide support to architects on performing initial research and due diligence leading to the development of reference architecture
    • Assist architects to produce RFP Scope of Work and perform technical evaluation of RFP submissions.
    • Solution Architecture of limited scope: Support architects in developing solution architectures on identified projects and initiatives as well as defining security requirements in for RFPs led by Business Units.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education

    Relevant diploma

    • 4 year Engineering/ Computer Science Degree (preferred)
    • Security-industry qualifications from EC-Council, (ISC)^2, CompTIA, ISACA

    Experience

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Information Security (preferred)
    • Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions
    • Working understanding of the information technology environment of a telecom company

    Other

    • Fluent in English
    • Telecommunications industry experience
    • Pan Africa and Middle East multi-cultural experience
    • Understanding of general regulatory requirements in the telecom industry
