    Warehouse Operator - W2

    The Role:

    • Administers and operates the organization's warehouse, including processing, packaging, storage of supplies, materials and equipment and delivery of materials and equipment underground to the mine operators.

    Job Description:

    • Adheres To Safety and Environment Policies and Procedures
    • Adheres to all relevant Sandvik Policies and Procedures.
    • Participates in safety improvement activities.
    • Sets highest standards of personal safety and demonstrates a proactive approach to building a sustainable safety culture within the warehouse.
    • Reports all accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately.
    • Must always wear correct prescribed PPE
    • Adopt a safety-first culture.
    • Always follow correct process in the work area at all times to achieve set daily operational KPIs and to mitigate operational risks.
    • Uses correct tools and materials safely in executing operational processes.
    • Completes daily inspections on equipment to ensure that equipment is safe to operate.
    • Adheres to set quality standards and housekeeping rules.
    • Participates in continuous improvement projects.
    • Recommends and follows quality control processes continuously.
    • Update warehouse systems for all transactions completed.
    • Reports any discrepancies with regard to inventory, safety and other anomalies.

    Inbound:

    • Ensure that shipment verification is done before any goods are received into the warehouse.
    • Offload and stage shipment according to date received and different stockrooms,
    • Inspect shipment received accordingly and report any discrepancies on activity.
    • Stage inspected items for various Zones ready for Put-Away
    • Bin goods in the correct bin locations and report any discrepancy on activity. Report any failure to put-away to your team leader

    Outbound:

    • Ensure that goods are picked accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Report any failure to pick on activity to your team leader.
    • Stage trolleys according to correct criticality after the picking process has been completed.
    • Pack orders according to order criticality and the correct packing requirements based on items picked.
    • Ensure that label pasting is correct and staging is done before handover.
    • Handover of goods to third party in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Report any discrepancies on activity to your team leader

    Inventory:

    • Has a basic understanding of inventory and stock control.
    • Must be able to participate in site counts as and when requested.
    • Ensure that inventory stored in the warehouse is kept at an acceptable level (Housekeeping)
    • Report and at times investigate stock discrepancies which will be assigned to you.
    • Makes recommendations for the undertaking of discrepancy investigations and implements corrective actions as requested.
    • Troubleshoots missing items.

    General:

    • Must be able and willing to work overtime when required by the operations.
    • Be flexible in terms of working conditions and rotate on shift structures in the operations.
    • Ensure that Sandvik policies and procedures are adhered to in all daily activities.

    • Forklift License, Reach Truck License, Order Picker License, Side Loader License is a requirement

    Service Contract Technician - RTV- S3

    The Role

    • Provides technical support in mechanical maintenance. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Electrical Mechanical and Maintenance operations.
    • Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, support planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
    • Conduct Risk Assessments, Shift Reporting, and Incident Reporting.
    • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
    • Achievement of Key performance indicators.
    • Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
    • Communication of operational status and any deviations.
    • Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements. Comply with all Safe operation practices.
    • Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.

    Profile Required

    • Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification
    • Section 13 Trade Certificate Millwright, Diesel Mechanic or Electrician this must be accompanied by proof of Training / Modules/POE/Proof of apprenticeship
    • Experience in fault finding hydraulic, electrical, drive train, safety system and diesel offerings
    • Basic Computer literacy, Microsoft Excel, word, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • English proficiency
    • Must have Flameproof
    • Must have Gas Testing
    • Relevant mining experience (5 years)
    • Underground mining environment in the production section
    • Will be required to work shifts and be away from home for the duration of the shift.
    • Need to be medically fit

    Storeman-1

    The Role

    • Administers and operates the organization's warehouse, including processing, packaging, storage of supplies, materials and equipment and delivery of materials and equipment underground to the mine operators.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse.
    • Receipt, storage and issue of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
    • Inventory control, Conduct cycle counting, full stock takes
    • Daily, weekly and monthly reports (Stock control, Issues and Analysing)
    • Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
    • General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
    • Comply with all aspects of the Sandvik EHS policy and any reasonable instruction, procedures or systems of work which are given in the interest of providing safe workplaces and eliminating environmental harm

    Your Profile

    • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
    • Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain (would be an advantage)
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position in a Warehousing/Distribution/Supply Chain/Mining environment
    • Minimum requirement is to be proficient at intermediate level in Excel
    • Must have a valid driver’s licence
    • Proven ability to work efficiently within an underground environment and complete duties in an autonomous manner

    Field Service Technician

    • We are looking for a diligent, technically sound and customer orientated individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician.
    • The role will report into the Field Service Manager and the role will be based from our offices in Spartan, Kempton Park.

    Purpose of the role:

    • Responsible for working closely with the Southern Africa sales & service teams to promote Crushing and Screening products and champion the driving of the Crushing & Screening Solutions equipment and aftermarket parts and support sales whilst providing support and technical assistance & services to our customers for our Crushing & Screening installed base.

    The job responsibilities:

    • Customer training and efficient technical services support pertaining to all Sandvik Crushing & Screening products supplied to customers within Southern Africa
    • Work closely with the Customers or Sandvik Installation and Erection Teams on activities during installation and commissioning of any Sandvik Crushing &
    • Guide and assist Customers or Sandvik’ Maintenance Teams with fault diagnosis while working on Screening equipment.
    • Cooperate closely with the Sales team or directly with the customer to promote Crushing & Screening Solutions equipment and Aftermarket sales.
    • Provide relevant feedback through equipment condition, performance and process audits, to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of efficiency and equipment integrity.
    • Identifies current and future/potential customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with them and other people in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Works towards achieving set KPI’s, for both the Customers and Sandvik.
    • Providing relevant information to Crushing & Screening Solutions installed base in the Region to the Regional teams and to ensure accurate installed base information is maintained in the database.
    • Accept and perform tasks delegated by SRP Management as deemed necessary.
    • Stay up to date with new and upgrades of Weighing & Screening equipment.
    • Prioritize & follow scheduled service/maintenance plan

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field or
    • N6 - Millwright
    • Relevant Red Seal Trade certificate- Millwright
    • +5 years' work experience in Minning or Construction environment

    Other Requirements & Competencies

    • Good understanding of the importance of customer services & Visits
    • Be able to work on the following but not limited to Linear Screens, Feeders, PLCs, weigh feeders, magnetic feeders, Belt Weighers, Bin, Corrolos, Apron Feeders, Upgrades on Weighing equipment, Installations, Calibrations on Weighing equipment, Load Cells, TLOs (advantageous), FAT test,
    • Follow through ability, results orientated and ability to function with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization environment.
    • Listening and logic interpretation
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
