Purpose of Position:

• To provide quality customer service to consumers within the legal-ethical framework of the nursing profession in a phlebotomy environment.

Requirements:

• Certificate: Nursing, SANC Registration in Relevant Register, Valid South African drivers licence (Code EB)

Required Experience:

• Knowledge: Meditech system,
• Knowledge: MS Excel,
• Knowledge: MS Word,
• Knowledge: National Health Act,
• Knowledge: Nursing Council Scope of Practice, Nursing experience within a hospital and/or laboratory environment, Phlebotomy experience in a laboratory environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations promote the image of Ampath, Manage money/cash flow of depot to facilitate collection of payments for phlebotomy services rendered, Perform administrative tasks to ensure correct recording and processing of information, Perform nursing procedures in order to ensure sufficient delivery of nursing services, Perform safety and quality control tasks to ensure that relevant standards are upheld

About the Job

• To receive and process specimens accurately in the Laboratory.

Requirements:

• Grade 12

Required Experience:

• Knowledge: Meditech system

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory and relevant equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment, Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory, Receive and store specimens in order to ensure effective specimen flow in the laboratory

• To supply clients with an efficient And professional service.
• To co-ordinate workflow of specimens in order to ensure effective service to clients.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Required), Grade 12 with English, Biology (Life Sciences) and Mathematics, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: Human Tissue Act, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all specimens to ensure efficient/accurate processing of specimens., Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath, Perform administrative functions in order to ensure all queries, add on’s, outstandings, sendaway and pathologist slides are handled/resolved timeously., Perform general laboratory tasks to ensure that relevant safety and accreditation standards are maintained.

• To collect and deliver reports; specimens and parcels sufficiently and timeously to and from the wards, hospitals, Dr’ rooms, factories and relevant clients by means of a vehicle.

Requirements:

• Grade 10 (Required), Valid South African Drivers Licence (Code A) (Required), Valid South African drivers licence (Code EB) (Required)

Required Experience:

• Driving Experience, Knowledge: Basic Vehicle Maintenance, Knowledge: National Traffic Rules and Regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and deliver reports, specimens and parcels in order to ensure that clients and labs received them timeously, Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath at all times, Maintain safekeeping and maintenance of company vehicles and relevant equipment in order to remain contactable and deliver excellent service
