    Senior Quality Specialist - Midrand

    Your key responsibilities

    • Support and drive implementation of Global Quality Essentials, Global Quality Operational Requirements.
    • Support the site mission and objectives within Quality, following Global and Regional strategy, to meet legal, business and customers’ requirements.
    • Drive Quality culture and continuous improvement on site.
    • Support the Internal Non-Conformance and Customer Complaint programs to drive performance and aid effective communication to our internal and external customers.
    • Be an active leader of the HACCP team
    • Support the implementation of the site Quality Management System in conformance to FSSC22000, RSPO and other applicable standards.
    • Support on site audits from client and regulatory bodies.
    • Perform internal and supplier audits to monitor compliance to applicable standards.
    • Support the business unit customer documentation team with client requests
    • Be an active member of regional and business unit groups to engage, share, and learn.

    You bring

    • Bachelors degree in scientific orientation (chemistry, biochemistry, food industry) or confirmed similar experience:
    • Experience in Quality Management Systems within a food manufacturing or chemical business.
    • Good knowledge in Quality Management Systems (FSSC22000, ISO 9001, RSPO, etc.
    • Trained Internal auditor
    • Qualification in Food Safety and HACCP
    • Qualification in Food Defence, Food Fraud
    • Excellent communication skills adaptable to different stakeholders;
    • Rigorous and data-driven; able to make decisions and work in a fast-paced environment;
    • Fluent with informatic skills (Office Suite, SAP etc).
    • Technically proficient/knowledgeable in food/chemical industry
    • Desired skills such as experience in sensory analysis

    Sales Lead Sub Sahara Africa - Isando

    Your key responsibilities

    • Budget: Accountable for the results within RMEA ( Sub Sahara Africa ) by ensuring Sales, GPx, OPEX and DSO targets are met for the respective segments.
    • Leadership: Lead the sales segment teams and engage closely with our Distribution Partners across our network.
    • Business Management: Manage the organization, the business and the key customers in such a way that the business is developed whilst keeping to the dsm-firmenich values and behaviors.
    • Business Development: Based on the segment strategic plan drive the execution of the key strategic projects and ensure that the pipeline and sales growth objectives for them are met.
    • Business Planning: Ensure that a 12 months sales target is set and in IBP forecasted for 24 months at a customer and product level. Achieve the short- medium- and long-term ambitions of the Region.
    • Performance Management: Perform monthly performance dialogues with each and every direct report reviewing customer sales, growth actions, customer projects, and redirecting activities to capture opportunities and/or fill gaps.
    • Commercial Management: In close co-operation with Regional Commercial management, ensure that prices and margins are implemented at the customers and help direct reports to book the businesses.
    • P&O: Ensure a high-performance business team is in place by recruiting and developing the best talent - make the changes to the team composition when necessary in a professional manner.
    • Stakeholder Management: Manage all the internal interfaces at regional and global level to deliver customer satisfaction (Regulatory, Premix, Supply Chain, CSAs, Commercial, Marketing, Innovation/Application/Formulation, Finance).

    You bring

    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in commercial positions (Marketing, Sales or other commercial roles).
    • Further education in form of MBA or PhD desirable (food, chemical, pharma or any other technical education is a plus).
    • Proven leadership and change management skills.
    • Experience in building high-performance teams across cultures, countries, industries.
    • Result driven, ability to shape, strong communication and motivational skills.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Proven track-record in value selling and growing business well above market growth.
    • Systems (SAP, BW, Office…) knowledge at user level.
    • Good performance record at Sales/Key Account level and strong negotiation skills.

    Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Isando

    •  Contribute as a Regulatory Affairs team member in the joint efforts for the development of the global product approval strategy in a timely and accurate manner
    • Prepare registration dossiers, product related documentations and necessary registration certificates for Product approvals based on the global regulatory affairs strategies or adaptation and submission of the dossier to the local authority and follow up on the approval process
    • Contribute to secure regulatory compliance also covering the safety of the products
    • Contribute to regional representation, networking and shaping activities in South Africa trade associations and in Africa region in general
    • Provide input on changing regulatory environments in the Africa region
    • Support customer queries related to dsm-firmenich products in close collaboration with other internal functions
    • Contribute to the development of dsm-firmenich opinions in Reg. Affairs

    You bring

    • Master or Bachelor’s degree, in natural sciences or life sciences
    • Recognized expert in Regulatory Affairs with an established network; experience in food, food supplements and/or pharma legislation in Africa region.
    • Interdisciplinary knowledge in the following areas: Quality Standards, registration procedures for ingredients and complementary medicines / health supplements.
    • Customer orientation with consultative skills – strong aptitude for proactively identifying needs and defining solutions.
    • Strongly self-motivated; solves business problems and works well with limited supervision.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to perform in a fast-paced work environment where constant re-prioritization is required.
    • Fluent in English, any other language (e.g. French) is a plus.
