• Minimum of 1 year experience in the logistics industry
• Sales achievements and skills attained within the industry
• Skills of achieving targets and generating new leads
• Strong negotiating and selling skills
• Be well-groomed and presentable.
• Have excellent people skills and intuitive to client’s needs.
• Computer literate in software such as Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Experience in developing leads and researching potential clients
• Working well as part of a bigger sales team but also able to deliver and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability in giving presentations.

Essential Qualifications: 

• Matric / Grade 12
• Proven track record of successful Sales
• Any post-matric qualifications in sales will be an added advantage.

Job Related Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in freight forwarding, Logistics or supply chain environment.
• A  good understanding of  Air, Ocean and Road transportation, Forwarding and Customs Clearance will be advantageous.
• Own vehicle
• Valid driver’s license

• Preparing and packing of cargo onto / into required ULD’s / equipment
• Loading and offloading of cargo
• Delivering export cargo to ground handlers / airlines at Cape Town International Airport
• Collection and delivering cargo to and from suppliers / clients
• General driving as required
• Assisting warehouse staff with the preparation of cargo

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of _1_ year experience as a general worker within a logistics / warehousing environment.
• Willing to work extended hours when and where necessary.

Qualifications: 

• Matric (Grade 12)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acceptance of all types of deliveries and recording such in the Goods Received Book
• Loading and unloading of trucks and airline units by making use of trolley jacks, forklifts or by hand. This is dependent on the size of the parcels.
• Maintaining the cold chain as required by storing the incoming products in the appropriate cold room.
• Picking orders as requested.
• Conducting an inspection on all airline units in order to ensure that the equipment is in good condition and free from any damages.
• Ensuring that working areas are kept neat, clean and well organized.
• Assist in the maintaining security measures in the warehouse.
• Assisting with collections of import shipments by external customers.
• All operational duties and following orders that are requested by the supervisor/management
• Identify defective items
• Preparing of incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately pick/pack, weigh and label completed shipments and storage thereof

Added Advantage:

• Valid forklift license
• Part 108 – Aviation Security Awareness
• Good communication skills.
• Ownership and self-motivation, to ensure any challenge is addressed immediately and resolved as soon as possible.
