    Product Manager

    The Flash Group is looking to hire a Product Manager who is passionate about building ecosystems and platform front ends that make customers happy!

    In this role, you will be responsible for end to end management of all aspects of the products under your management and through all stages of the product life cycle.

    This role requires strong fluency in user centred mobile app design and the ability to co-ordinate with various stakeholders whom influence the front end platforms at The Flash Group.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree in BIS/ Multi-Media/ similar
    • Previous experience in a Product Management / Similar role
    • Previous experience following user centered design to build mobile apps with some UX design knowledge
    • Sound understanding of retail and SME’s
    • Previous experience in building mobile POS applications will be advantageous
    • Strong stakeholder management experience
    • Experience working in an Agile way of work

    Role Specific requirements:

    • Develop user experience strategy for all Flash channels, focusing on customer and seller ease of use
    • Manage issues like navigation, page routing, product page design on each channel
    • Develop mockups for our development and design team

    Responsibilities:

    • Help influence and maintain a frontend platform roadmap based on our architectural goals
    • Work with the data and/or UX teams to research, prototype, test and validate ideas around our design system, tooling and frontend architecture
    • Actively participate with product development teams to define product requirements, specifications and acceptance testing criteria. Review and provide final sign-off for all requirements.
    • Interview and meet with our customers to better understand the market and market problems.
    • Prioritize and validate trader needs and requests for product changes & enhancements.
    • Track industry trends, product segment growth, market spend, and market share.
    • Create and implement annual channel plans and roadmaps including new products/enhancements to expand service offering, drive revenue, and increase profitability.
    • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of platform changes and recommend improvements
    • Develop functional specifications for new ideas and channel enhancements
    • Working closely with QA to compile and execute test cases and regression testing
    • Enable, support and train sales, client services, and professional services staff on new channel functionality
    • Engage closely with the development teams to help with making implementation decisions and develop schedules.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure deployment, go-to-market and quality goals are defined, achieved and maintained.
    • Communicate release status and status with key stakeholders.

    iOS Developer

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification
    • 5-8 years relevant experience in an environment that builds and maintains the full spectrum of IOS apps
    • Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
    • Experience with RESTful JSON services required
    • Experience with IOS design patterns for cleaning coding
    • Experience in a Retail, Payments or Banking environment is preferred
    • Experience with Apple Store deployment
    • Better to have Swift3 experience

    Responsibilities:

    Senior C# Engineer

    The Flash Group is looking to hire a Senior Java Software Engineer. In this role, the individual will be designing, implementing and maintaining the Java tech stack at The Flash Group.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification
    • Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in software development
    • Experience in leading and guiding developers
    • Be passionate about technology, enthusiastic about problem solving, and constantly seeking to learn and improve skillset
    • Have experience of working with enterprise scale application stacks
    • Have had exposure to the full software development lifecycle
    • Sound knowledge of OO design principles and patterns
    • Understanding of ORM frameworks (Hibernate/EclipseLink/.NET Entity Framework)
    • Understanding of REST and MVC driven web frameworks

    Skills:

    • Strong core Java (Java / J2EE) skills
    • Spring Framework
    • Wide-ranging experience using Java tech stacks and other programming languages
    • Versed in DevOps methodology including setting up CI/CD pipelines
    • Strong experience in RESTful web services
    • Solid grasp of Servlet containers and the Servlet API (Apache Tomcat preferable)
    • Strong experience with Relational DBMS, MSSQL/Oracle
    • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

    • Unit and integration tested
    • Documented
    • Optimized to ensure benchmarks are met
    • Assist in out of hours’ production releases when required
