    Sales Specialist Digital

    About the Job

    • You as a Sales Specialist Digital, will be part of Power Grids Marketing & Sales business and reporting to Local Sales Manager. You will be responsible for sales of products/systems within the Southern and Eastern African market in accordance with the digital strategy of Hitachi Energy. To build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities aligned with the digital strategy of Hitachi Energy.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Volume and profit: -Selling products/systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
    • Customer relations: -Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
    • Sales plans: -Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
    • Sales: -Creates added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy's offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
    • Marketing: -Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. New market opportunities: -Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
    • Administration: -Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed. Offer preparation: -Participating in preparation of offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

    Your background:

    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Information Technology.

    Sales Manager - Renewables

    About the Job

    • You as a Sales Manager – Renewables will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, Gauteng, South Africa. Plan and ensure execution of Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy for the power renewables segment, including solar PV, wind, and energy storage, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Responsible for leading and developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Creating, planning, and implementing sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy. Achieving sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
    • Establishing sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
    • Identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical area and determining plans for acquisition and allocates resources.
    • Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluating data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitors and provides reports to the marketing and sales organization on market intelligence. Working with the business line market managers to coordinate sales activities between the business lines and exploit synergies.
    • Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensures efficient marketing communications.
    • Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participating on negotiations of key contracts. Managing ongoing costs.
    • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers or channels.
    • Taking ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs.
    • Coaching, motivating, and developing relevant colleagues within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
    • Managing the strategic relationship with renewable developers, EPCs and other players in the renewables landscape. Lead the development and implementation of the account plans for significant players to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Propose recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.

    Your background

    • A bachelor’s degree in relevant field as Electric or Electronic Engineering.
    • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in customer relationship building business development and sales in the power renewables environment.
    • Proven track record of sales of projects or project development in Southern and East Africa.
    • ECSA Professional registration is desirable.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

    Project Manager

    About the Job

    • You as an Associate Project Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Associate Project Manager with the support of project team is responsible for successful execution/delivery of assigned project(s) on-time, within budget, as per Contract Agreement, with on- quality & safety framework of Hitachi energy.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Planning project execution from start to finish, including necessary activities, procurements, resources, and milestones.
    • Managing planned activities and assuring a valid project safety plan is in place.
    • Assuring Hitachi energy commitments to the customers are met and collecting customer feedback and prompts the submission of customer satisfaction survey.
    • Controls project cost and cash flow
    • Understanding Hitachi energy standard terms and conditions and the impact upon the contract of differing and/or additionally accepted terms and conditions.
    • Reporting status/ progress to customer and other stake holders with appropriate detail.
    • Raising potential project issues to relevant stake holders.
    • Managing scope and changes in business system.
    • Assuring no changes are made without required approval.
    • Understanding risks identified during sales or execution in assigned contracts and mitigates.
    • Issues purchasing requisitions for internal and sometimes external suppliers of products and services included in assigned projects.

    Your background

    • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with domain experience in Hitachi energy business.
    • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in execution of HV Substation.
