    Financial Advisor - Carletonville

    Job Purpose

    • The ideal candidate will deliver effective marketing of life assurance and funeral products within the Carletonville area. This opportunity will enable you to earn commission.  


    Job Outputs:

    • Selling of life assurance and funeral policies
    • Conducting clients needs analysis
    • Following up on leads 
    • Servicing new and existing members
    • Quality control of new business

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • FAIS credits on NQF level 4 as per FSCA legislative requirements
    • RE5 as per FSCA legislative requirements
    • Valid SA Drivers License (Manual) 
    • 1 year proven sales experience, preferably in the Financial Services Industry

    Operations And Compliance Manager

    Job Purpose

    • To plan, direct and co-ordinate the operational and compliance functions and processes of iMas Insurance Brokers.  The individual will be responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the organization's operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies as well as overseeing the administrative and compliance functions for iMas Insurance Brokers.


    Job Outputs:

    • Develop back-office operations and compliance function(s)’s operational plans for iMas Insurance Brokers to effectively achieve organisational and strategic objectives
    • Implement & continuously improve operational policies, workflow processes and performance standards with reference to claims and commission administration, policy administration, document management, premium collection and policy retention and Independent Contractor back-office administration.
    • Cell captive management which includes overseeing the intermediary and binder holder functions within the cell captive.
    • Risk and compliance oversight which includes identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate solutions to mitigate the risks within the life and non-life insurance divisions and IIB administration & operations.
    • Oversee & give assurance on the compliance function which includes FICA, CPD training, the debarment process, compliance monitoring plan and the FSCA representative registers and competency register.
    • System and project management which includes compiling the BRS and managing the effective implementation of new technologies and processes and the utilization- and continuous improvement of existing systems and processes.
    • Build and maintain stakeholder relations.
    • Manage and oversee employee performance, talent retention, transformation, development, morale, movement and succession planning.
    • Compile relevant management reports.

    Qualifications: 

    • Grade 12/ Matric
    • Operational Management or related qualification on NQF level 7
    • Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5) is an advantage
    • Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals (RE1) is an advantage
    • Valid driving licence

    Experience: 

    • Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in Life Insurance operations.
    • Minimum 5 years’ operational experience in administrative processes and procedures as well as business automation.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Practical knowledge of financial and insurance-related and other applicable legislation
    • Up to date knowledge of the regulatory landscape within the financial and insurance sector
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Presentation skills
    • Ability to function under pressure
    • Conflict handling skills
    • Computer literacy (Advanced MS office)
    • People management skills
    • Financial acumen
    • Attention to detail
