Job Specific Experience

• Minimum of 3 years post trade experience.

Qualifications & Expertise

• Minimum Matric 
• N3 plus Trade Tested Electrician
• Wireman’s License/Installation Rules will be an advantage
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given

Competencies

• Ability to communicate effectively.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Production Foreman, the incumbent will be required to operate the cut-size work centre in accordance to the standard time efficiency and material efficiency targets.

Education: 

• Matric (Maths and Physical Science) / NTC3 OR
• ABZ basic (desirable)

Job Experience:

• At least 1 year manufacturing experience or 
• Qualified Production Learner

Key Performance Areas:

• Complies with SHE rules and Regulations
• Adheres to 5S Housekeeping protocol
• Ensures compliance to ISO 9002 QMS and the Finishing Quality Network
• Complies with Waste / Cost Reduction program
• Reports accurately on shift operational performance

Job Purpose:

The Production Engineer is responsible to ensure the quality and efficiency of the production process, and for supporting the Production Manager in managing the operational team.

Qualifications & Expertise

• BSc Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Post Graduate qualification will be advantageous
• SAP system experience will be advantageous
• South African Driver’s License

Job Experience

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in Process Engineering in a specialist, supervisor or management role within the Pulp and Paper Industry.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory | people management position.

• Materials and stock management
• Shut planning and coordination
• Process safety risk management and quality control
• RCFA and deviation analysis and management
• Assist Production Manager with people development
• Contractor management
• Ensure continuous improvement and process optimisation
• Develop SOPs, BOPs, and WOP (responsibility)
• Manage budget and cost deviations (own area)
• Safety, health and environmental risk management
• Perform standby duties as required.
• Coordinate gatekeeping meetings (G1, 2 and 3
