ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.  
• As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible to assist line management in meeting safety, health and environmental standards and implementing safety initiatives in their respective work areas, by verifying compliance to HSE systems during inspections, audits, investigations and leaderships interactions and interventions.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Conduct 30, 45- and 90-days legal inspections
• Conduct internal audits of the system, process
• Follow up and close out all preventative and corrective actions
• Update inspection schedule
• Monitor compliance to required controls, COP, standards, procedures and applicable legislation
• Analyse trends and report to line Managers
• Facilitate event investigations and ensure quality outcomes (MTC’s, LTI’s and RWC’s)
• Assist Chief Safety Officer with DMPR reporting
• Investigate and submission of Significant Events, incidents, damages, hazards and complaints
• Challenge line on identified gaps (e.g. reporting, Material Risks deviations , Other risks and hazards, etc.)
• Audit and verify the effective implementation of controls and compliance to legal and other requirements
• Assist in the analysis of Safety Statistics Identify specific learning’s relevant to the site and communicate as appropriate
• Carry out and participate in Safety Improvement Plans and Safety campaigns.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Safety and Risk Management;
• In depth knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996), Occupational Health and Safety Act 93 of 1993 and other related legislation;
• Experience in Incident Cause Analysis Method  (ICAM) methodology;
• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Safety Management (NADSAM)
• SAMTRAC or COMSOC 1 & 2 certificates
• Valid drivers license

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an operator track dozer, you will be responsible to doze Overburden or Manganese from the applicable dumping area either a waste dump or Inpit stockpile. Dumping could include road, ramp, safety and catchment construction.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents;
• Report any unsafe behavior, conditions and incidents to the responsible person;
• Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects;
• Operate mobile equipment based on operational requirements;
• Keep mobile equipment clean and in a good condition all the time;
• Will be required to operate the different machines based on operational requirements.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• At least a minimum of 1-year experience in operating mobile equipment in a mining environment;
• Mining production experience in surface mining operations.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 for external candidates
• Competency B Certificate is advantageous
• Equipment license on either CAT dozer D8, D10
• Valid driver's licence.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an occupational medical practitioner, you will be responsible to perform occupational medical duties of an Occupational Medical Practitioner (OMP) as required by the Mine Health and Safety Act (29 of 1996) associated with the effective operation of the South32 HMM clinic.
• To advise on workplace health and safety issues and recommend measures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Determine a risk based medical surveillance and fitness to work programme;
• Ill health and Occupational Disease Management
• Emergency Medical Care;
• Provide occupational medical and health advisory management and health education;
• Legislative compliance, policy development and implementation;
• Emergency care experience.
• Plan and execute a risk base Biological Monitoring Programme.
• Plan and execute an effective Epidemic and Pandemic management programme.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a registered Occupational Medical Practitioner in the mining industry
• 3 years’ work experience in managing incapacity and disability cases and other occupational health related matters such as medical surveillance programs
• Experience in biological monitoring programs.

Qualifications for this role are: 

• MBChB qualification recognized by the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Occupational Medicine qualification recognized by the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As a Planner Maintenance, you will be responsible to provide specialist advice and executes planning, development and communication of Work Management weekly work schedules for an operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Creates and plans Work Orders as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of resources
• Complies with the Work Management processes to schedule work based on the prioritization of the task
• Collaborates with Supply to determine the availability of required Materials and Services
• Builds and communicate accurate weekly and monthly work schedules reflecting all Work management activities
• Review Process Discipline for the Week as per the Work Performance Management Process
• Analyse Weekly and Monthly Metrics as per the Work Performance Management Process
• Initiate WM Master Data based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Maintenance in either processing plants or maintenance of TMMs
• Sound knowledge of Fundamentals of Maintenance and Planning Principles
• Previous Maintenance Planning experience & SAP knowledge is advantageous

Qualifications for this role are:

• N3 Technical Certificate
• Valid trade test.
