Purpose of the position:

The Data Capturer supports the PPPrev programme and DoH with data triangulation by ensuring that outreach data flow and management is established at facility level in accordance with DoH data management policies and procedures. The Data Capturer will support consolidation of facility and partner data and ensure that this data management policy is implemented correctly.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 (level 4 qualification or higher)
• Knowledge and 3 years’ experience in using TIER.Net and WebDHIS
• Good communication skills
• Background or interest in HIV and public health
• Needs to be self-motivated to attend all training sessions and required to complete assessments (portfolio work) for accredited training.
• MS Office
• Able to communicate in English and isiZulu is an advantage
• Clear criminal record
• Driver’s licence and ability to drive

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Capturing and consolidating facility data
• Ensures that all weekly, monthly and quarterly data is received, captured and consolidated
• Update databases with weekly, monthly and quarterly data
• Format and structure data according to requirements
• Keep and maintain a register of who is responsible for data submission at each facility
• Notify the M&E coordinator and other relevant staff if data is not submitted on time and keep record of all data submissions
• Interact with colleagues and project management to ensure fulfilment of project objectives
• Interact with Department of Health and THC staff to capture relevant subject-related information
• Filing and administrative duties as required

Purpose of the position:

The Community Coordinator will provide operational management of the HIV/TB/STI comprehensive prevention package of service. The package focuses on HIV and TB prevention, in active case finding & same day ART initiations and TB preventive therapy (TPT). The HIV newly diagnosed and the TB contacts are to be case managed by the mobile team. The mobile teams provide screening for HIV, TB, Covid-19, STI’s, non-communicable diseases, condom promotion and distribution with navigation of referrals into a facility and laying the HIV negative girl & women with priorities population prevention programmes. They are responsible for executing the Index Testing modality & sexual partner/s case finding with the biological children =<19 years old and the HIV self-screening modality with distribution in primary assisted and secondary unassisted methodology.

Minimum Requirements    

• Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's degree (B. Cur) in Nursing
• HIV Management Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• NIMART and preferred dispensing licence
• Current SANC registration
• 3 yrs experience in HAST programme coordination
• Valid code 08 driver’s licence
• Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Provides operational and technical support to the Nurse Clinician in the CB HTS programme
• Meet weekly and monthly with Programme Director: HTS and Care & Treatment
• Index testing and HIVSS modalities with same day ART initiations of HIV newly diagnosed client, sexual partners & biological children, commence adherence support and monitor ART care.
• Meet quarterly with DOH (sub district, district and province) managers, community stakeholders and other service providers, so as to engage them in scaling up the THC package of service provision
• Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities
• Provide programme reports to Programme Director, HTS Project Coordinator and indirectly to Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
• Provides mentorship to Nurse Clinicians
• Adheres to Infection control standards
