    Specialist Payments Operations - Lending

    Role Purpose
    To ensure that key financial and business objectives of the Lending business within Vodacom Payment Services are met with regard to internal controls, reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis. Provide support to the Commercial and IT teams with regard to the processes and controls required from a financial perspective.

    Process And Controls
    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and reporting are performed for lending products.
    • Ensure that invoicing, payments, refunds, and chargebacks are correct, and the allocation thereof is correct in the accounting records.
    • Capture signed-off/approved reconciliations onto SAP for payment via MJUT.
    • Read and provide feedback on all relevant Business Requirement Specification documents from Business Analysts to ensure FinOps requirements are covered.
    • Partner with Financial services and FBP departments to ensure that VSA and Vodafone Policies, as well as internal audit requirements, are followed and where applicable policies are implemented in the VFS business unit.
    • Be involved in the development and flow of processes from QA to Production.

    Reconciliations

    • Track daily transactional reports and reconcile to bank statements;
    • Perform monthly/weekly reconciliations required for the Lending business.
    • Assist in all relevant business reconciliations between various systems used across the business.
    • Resolution of queries from business and month-end processing.

    Reporting

    • Ensure that business requirements are implemented and accounted for correctly in the system, including liaising with the commercial business team, business analysts, IT (Scrum Master), and Quality Assurance.
    • Review reports accuracy and alignment with expectations based on business knowledge, also to ensure reporting has adequate information for financial recording and review purposes.
    • Ensure that processes/costs are in line with the approved business case.
    • Ad-hoc reporting requirements.

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Bachelor of Commerce degree

    Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years of financial experience - essential/
    • Payments/Financial Services industry knowledge - advantageous.
    • Previous ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industries experience an advantage.

    Technical/ Professional Expertise

    • Finance experience gained in large, multi-national organizations.
    • Financial analysis & interpretation.
    • Report writing.
    • Understanding of systems and integration thereof into ERP.

    Senior Data Scientist

    A Senior Data Scientist helps in Co-creating Advanced Machine Learning products that drive revenue, reduce cost and increase customer experience. Developing predictive models with large and varied datasets, working with a community of colleagues across Advanced Machine Learning, technology, and data and customer functions contributing to the wider community to enable an Advanced Machine Learning capability across Vodafone globally.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Development of machine learning models for various areas of the business on the Big Data Platform.
    • Development of prototype code in e.g. PySpark for automated training and scoring of the machine learning models.
    • Machine Learning Model performance tracking and reporting using e.g. Qlik.
    • Uses data visualization to engage the audience in a compelling way, enabling effective storytelling.
    • Work with lead data scientist to deliver key packages of work to meet the needs of business customers.
    • Works in partnership with Big Data Engineering for data ingestion to support use cases.
    • Works in partnership with Big Data Production Data Engineering for model automation and production rising.

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • 4-7 years of experience in similar data science role.
    • Bachelor’s or master's degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Social Sciences, Data Journalism, or related fields.
    • Expertise in data manipulation: use of structured data tools (e.g., SQL), & unstructured data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL).
    • Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language: Python, Scala.
    • Expertise in machine learning libraries (e.g., R, H2O, Scikit Learning, TensorFlow , Pytorch , Xgboost , LightGBM) and multivariate techniques (e.g. k-means segmentation, multiple regression, factor analysis, time series forecasting).
    • Experience in digital data sets, e.g., social listening, social network analysis).
    • Familiarity with visualization tools (e .g. Tableau, Qlik, D3).
    • Exposure/interest in machine learning.
    • Experience in Deploying Models in Cloud (AWS, GCP , Azure).
    • Data Knowledge in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Predictive Modelling.
    • Deep Expertise in Big Data Technologies.
    • MLOPS understanding and Experience are Advantageous.
    • Natural Language Process (NLP).

    Senior Specialist Cyber Security GRC

    Role purpose

    • To lead an ongoing evaluation of security policies, and relevant standards and support the continuous improvement of the security governance program.
    • To ensure that comprehensive Information Security Risk management programs are established.
    • Ensure the alignment of Information Security Risk management with the enterprise risk management framework.
    • To lead in the risk management of cyber security risks while collaborating with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support a risk-informed decision and action framework.
    • To provide Management with assurance covering controls across the Business environments that there are adequately designed and operating effectively.
    • To support Management during audits as well as implement and track Management audit actions to closure. 
    • Assist in the management and rollout of cyber Training & Awareness initiatives.
    • Provide Management with status update reports as well as insight reporting.

    You responsibilities will include:

    • Taking a proactive approach to ongoing evaluation of cyber security policies to ensure security policy adherence.
    • Promote awareness of security policies, training, and the governance strategy amongst all levels of the organization to ensure sound security. governance is reflected across the organization.
    • Assess policy needs, train stakeholders in the policy lifecycle and communicate expectations, and collaborate with stakeholders from subject matter experts to senior leaders to develop and manage security content.
    • Maintain and further develop the Cyber Risk Management Program.
    • Actively manage risks on the Cyber Risk Register from intake to resolution.
    • Communicate risk assessment findings with key stakeholders to develop and monitor risk remediation plans.
    • Develop cyber risk portfolios to provide a more holistic view of teams’ risks.
    • Conduct regular compliance assessments with the Business to ensure that current and emerging risks are being monitored and managed.
    • Proactive Control design and implementation guidance provided to the Business.
    • Process and Control Compliance Monitoring and Reporting.
    • Cyber audit SPOC to the business with guidance on all audit submissions.
    • Cyber audit report reviews and guidance to Management on the recommended actions.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric is essential.
    • Degree\Relevant tertiary qualification in Information technology and Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Tech Security role where you meet business deliverables. 
    • At least 5+ years of experience in cyber governance, risk, controls, and compliance management in a technology environment. 
    • Knowledge of common information technology management/compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, SOX, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST.
    • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and privacy requirements, such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Protection and Payment Card Industry (PCI)/Data Security Standard.
    • Proven experience managing and operating multiple security programs, projects, and initiatives.
    • An ability to think strategically and drive change.
    • A deep understanding of Tech Security risks and mitigating solutions.
    • GSM Network Infrastructure.
    • Diverse security background with knowledge in several areas including layered security architecture; internet protocols; firewalls; VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, network access control and network segmentation, anti-malware and spam technologies; risk and vulnerability assessments, and compliance.
    • Security concepts related to DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services, and DDOS mitigation technologies.
    • Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
    • Web Security & Encryption.
