    Operator (General Plant Manufacturing)

    Key Outputs:

    • Manufacture Bulk products as per Manufacturing Bulk Record
    • To wash and clean the area and all the equipment's used during manufacturing.
    • Operate and setting of manufacturing equipment and related tools
    • Ensure daily setup requirements for production are met.
    • Carryout daily verifications of calibrations and clean status
    • Support Pharmacist in line opening and clearance activities
    • Check machines for defects and report if necessary.
    • Ensure that change overs are carried out quickly and accurately within the allocated time
    • Drive activities to ensure attainment of OEE target
    • Ensure Daily and Weekly Shift Targets are met
    • To carry out any tasks related to the Manufacturing process.
    • Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained before, during and after manufacturing
    • Ensure own work is done in safely and in quality compliant ways of working with no deviations from established standards.
    • Exercise cGMP principles at all times and record activities as defined by MBR as per GDP.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions to the Team leader, Shift leader, Pharmacist assistant escalate to Pharmacist and manager if required.
    • At the end of runs to ensure the working area is cleaned and tidied to an acceptable level of GMP
    • Ensure that the quality of product produced complies to the company standards 
    • Know and understand the relevant company procedures
    • Report all quality problems to the Shift Leader or deputy immediately
    • Adhere to time keeping, attendance and productivity requirements 
    • Ensure that manufacturing area is kept clean and tidy during and after production.
    • Always be prepared to put in extra effort. 
    • Work overtime if necessary and / or work on other areas if required.
    • Attend all relevant GMP Training sessions as per the SOP Training Schedule .
    • Adhere to Safety Practices
    • Actively participate in the MBU Processes Attend all relevant GMP Training sessions as per the Training Schedule.
    • Adhere to Safety Practices
    • Work rotational shifts 3 x 8 hours.

    Requirements

    • N4- N6 Engineering Qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics etc.)
    • 0 - 2 years in the pharmaceutical manufacturing/packing environment
    • Technical aptitude

    Operator: Truck Loader

    Description

    • To ensure that Viaflex product are filled and pouched and loaded as per SOP 16-08-06-046
    • Perform pouching of Viaflex units on the line.
    • Conduct filling of Viaflex products.
    • Able to understand process of printing of Viaflex bags.
    • Assist in loading and sealing of units.
    • Follow SOP 16-08-06-046 process for Viaflex Products.
    • Follow correct GMP and gowning process
    • Inspect units for missing parts/illegible print and fill volumes
    • Remove defective units and over pouches.
    • Assist in material handling activities.
    • Assist in other departmental needs on a daily basis.
    • A thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
    • Communication skills 
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Attention to detail 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 1 to 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry /Manufacturing industry
    • Forklift license

    Operator: Vacoliter

    Description

    • Inspect Vacolitre/Dialasate and Forsenema units for any defects
    • Remove defect from conveyer belt and place in reject bin
    • Palletize packed Product into Shippers
    • Maintain GMP in the working environment
    • Checks that the material used is released and is per the Bill of materials.
    • Ensure that the Plant Manufacturing Log book has been completed.
    • Ensure that working station is cleaned after production has been completed.
    • In conjunction with the Team Leader once the Production Pharmacist establishes cut-off points when non-conforming product is experienced.
    • Must be able to comply with Health and Safety requirements.
    • Technical aptitude to Set Up Production Machines and Hook Up Solution Tank to Production Line.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
