    Production Manager (Wheat Mill) (Harrismith)

    Description

    • To drive the technical performance of raw material and product processes to achieve optimum productivity and world-class quality standards, while maintaining operational costs within budget.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Qualified Wheat Miller (GMF)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a wheat milling environment

    Key Performance Areas

    • Lead regular operational meetings, ensure effective information flow across departments, compile performance reports, and align team efforts with company values and goals.
    • Drive technical performance, optimise milling processes, and ensure equipment efficiency.
    • Maintain consistent product quality, manage grading and compliance with HACCP and ISO standards.
    • Monitor and control operational costs, ensuring alignment with budget targets.
    • Manage and develop technical staff, enforce policies, and lead performance appraisals.
    • Oversee infestation control, hygiene standards, and safe use of fumigation practices.
    • Implement innovative solutions, manage non-conformance processes, and drive training initiatives.

    Technician: Construction and Forestry (Salt Rock)

    Description

    • Repair and maintain construction and forestry and related equipment as a service

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

    • N2 Qualified Technician

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

    • 3 years’ relevant experience (including training as Apprentice)

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS         

    • Perform repairs and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment.
    • Build and maintain good customer relationships and ensure that customer queries and complaints are resolved within the prescribed turnaround time.
    • Update job cards.
    • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that protective equipment is used as prescribed.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES          

    • Good product knowledge in the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment
    • Good time-keeping abilities
    • Communication skills
    • Driver's licence

    Millwright (Milling) (Bethal)

    Description

    • To ensure the efficient and effective operation of electric works and mechanical repairs.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

    • N3 or Grade 12
    • Trade Test Electrical and Mechanical 

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

    • Minimum 3 years experience as a Millwright.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS         

    • Perform Plant maintenance: Electrical and Mechanical.
    • Perform inspections and breakdown repairs on production machinery/equipment.
    • Performing tasks as per reasonable instruction from Engineering Foreman.
    • Execute minor projects to improve facilities.
    • Keep the work area clean and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES          

    • Mechanical and Electrical inclined
