    Head - Retentions (Centurion)

    Description

    • We are looking for a motivated and experienced Head to lead our outbound retention and policy validation team.     • Lead and support a team of Retention Clerks and ensuring daily targets and call quality standards are achieved.
    • Oversee queue management for efficient call flow and resource utilization.
    • Provide regular coaching and mentorship to team members, identifying training needs and performance gaps.
    • Ensure teams are equipped with the necessary tools, systems, and support to perform at their best.
    • Evaluate call quality and compliance; implement corrective actions and development plans as needed.
    • Report on team performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
    • Facilitate team meetings focused on performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and service-level agreements.

    Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • FAIS-accredited qualification (Advantageous)
    • RE5 regulatory certification (Advantageous)
    • 2–3 years’ experience in the insurance industry, particularly in a service or call center environment (Essential)
    • Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation
    • Strong administrative, analytical, and reporting skills
    • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Clear credit and criminal record

    Senior Clerk (Centurion)

    Description

    • We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Senior Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in financial processes and a passion for accuracy and efficiency in reconciliations and ledger management.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Prepare and submit reconciliations for review within set deadlines.
    • Create and process invoices and payments for creditors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
    • Approve invoices and payments in line with Delegation of Authority (DOA).
    • Process journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining financial accuracy and audit readiness
    • Assist in processing and reviewing bank statements.
    • Submit reconciliations for review within set deadlines, supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles.
    • Work closely with the Accountant: Insurance and other finance team members to ensure smooth operations
    • Provide support during audits and financial reviews by maintaining well documented and accurate records.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

    Requirements

    • A recognised Finance qualification.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
    • Strong understanding of general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
    • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • A  suitable  industry  entry  qualification  within  the  requirements  of  the  Financial  Services  Board
    • Comply with FAIS legislation for registration as Fit and Proper individuals

    Applicants who entered the industry as follows:

    • From years 2004 – 2007 requires 30 credits on NQF 4 obtained by 31 December 2009.
    • From years 2008 - 2009 requires 30 credits or 60 credits on NQF 4 obtained by 31 December 2011 or full FAIS recognised qualification obtained by 31 December 2013
    • All those appointed in the industry from the year 2010 onwards require a full FAIS recognised qualification 
    • Clear ITC
    • Clear criminal record
    • RE5  certificate
    • RE1  will  be  an  advantage
    • Drivers’  license,  own  reliable  transport  and  cell  phone
    • Proven  success  in  the  Marketing  of  Life  Assurance  for  at  least  three  years
