Main Purpose of the Job

• The Area Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships by delivering high-quality customer service and overseeing the installation and repair of Booyco Electronic safety equipment. This role focuses on business growth through cross-selling to existing customers and generating new business. The Area Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate with teams to meet targets, maintain safety standards, ensure compliance, and uphold SLA agreements.

Education, experience and competencies

• Matric and National Diploma (Engineering, Operations, or Business Management), Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• 5–8 years’ experience in operations or field services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or regional management role within mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Solid understanding of MHSA, OHSA, Section 21 files, risk assessments, and site compliance.
• Proven ability to manage multi-site teams, budgets, and performance outcomes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with ERP or operational systems (e.g., BECS).
• Medically fit for site visits and inspections.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally

Responsibilities

• Build Lead and manage regional operations across multiple mining and industrial client sites.
• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and consistent service excellence.
• Conduct regular branch and site audits to ensure compliance with MHSA, OHSA, and company standards.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgets, cost optimisation, invoicing, and profitability.
• Maintain compliance with Section 21 files and risk management procedures.
• Ensure operational efficiency and timely resolution of deviations and non-conformances.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of Account Managers and Superintendents.
• Support business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities within the region.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of operational and financial reports.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Main Purpose of the Job

• The Regional Technical Superintendent provides technical leadership, governance, and oversight across multiple sites within the assigned region. This role ensures that Technical Superintendents deliver consistently against safety, compliance, and operational requirements, while driving technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and adherence to Booyco standards.

This role services Witbank, Lydenburg and Rustenburg areas

Education, experience and competencies

• Matric and Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in mining/technical field services
• 3–5 years in a Superintendent or Managerial role.
• Strong track record of managing technical teams across multiple sites.
• Medically fit and willing to travel across South Africa

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Technical Superintendents to ensure consistent technical service delivery across sites.
• Enforce accountability for compliance, reporting, and performance standards.
• Support workforce skills development and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with MHSA, OHSA, Section 21, COC files, and other statutory requirements.
• Drive adherence to Booyco’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and BECS compliance reporting.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and technical investigations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Area Managers and Account Managers.
• Support field teams with advanced technical problem-solving and escalation resolution.
• Oversee the roll-out and compliance of Booyco technical systems and applications
• Act as a technical escalation point for key clients in the region.
• Partner with Area Managers to ensure client expectations are met from both a commercial and technical perspective.
• Build trust and relationships with mine management and regulatory stakeholders.
• Compile regional technical reports for submission to the Regional Manager.
• Monitor performance against KPIs (uptime, response time, compliance audits).
• Ensure all technical records and documentation are accurate, complete, and audit ready.

Main Purpose of the Job

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Booyco’s electronic safety and control systems on mining sites. This role ensures system reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction, working closely with account managers, technicians, and area teams to deliver outstanding field support.

Education, experience and competencies

• Matric and Qualified Artisan (Red Seal) in Electrical, Automotive Electrical
• National Diploma: Electrical Engineering (light current) - advantage
• 3–5 years’ technical experience in electronics or electrical systems (mining or heavy industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electronic systems, wiring, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
• Medically fit for site work.
• Valid Code 8/10 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to mine sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for product failures.
• Perform technical audits, diagnostics, and maintenance of Booyco systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new electronic systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to operations and clients.
• Train and mentor technicians, operators, and end-users.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and S21 specifications.
• Maintain accurate technical reports, documentation, and records.
