    Theatre Stock Controller

    Summary

    • Theatre stock controller is responsible for the daily stock control in the theatre and catheterisation lab. This includes control over consignment, aged, short dated, excess, and obsolete stock, defective products and new product information of stock in the theatre complex. The theatre stock controller will be responsible for preparing, executing, capturing & investigating variances of the bi-annual stock takes. 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
    • Relevant Post Matric Qualification Advantageous 

    Work Experience

    • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
    • + 1 - 5 Years working experience in same position
    • Theatre and stock system experience essential
    • SAP experience will be advantageous
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft office) Knowledge of Excel advantageous

    Knowledge

    • Theatre Stock Management knowledge
    • Fluent communication in English essential
    • Knowledge of billing processes and procedures
    • Knowledge and experience of a pharmaceutical stock control system
    • Customer service orientated with high working standards

    Unit Manager - Maternity & Paeds

    Summary

    • The Unit Manager will be responsible for coordinating Quality Nursing Care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating training, development and mentoring of staff in the Unit. The incumbent will be expected to apply and manage the best and most effective operational practice by focusing on the integration of people, technology and financial drivers in ensuring that  Unit costs are maintained within budget. 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualifications
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Registered as a Midwife
    • Advance midwifery & Neonatology will be advantage
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
    • A relevant qualification in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous
    • A relevant Management Qualification will be advantageous

    Work Experience

    • At least five (5) years relevant experience
    • Relevant experience in Management and Clinical Leadership is required
    • Maternity and Paediatric working experience is essential 

    Knowledge

    • Administer and supervise thus ensuring standards for quality nursing care are met in the unit, evaluate on an ongoing basis and take appropriate action
    • Monitor and enforce standards, procedures and staff performance. Manage unit activities including irregularities and policy violations and take corrective and follow-up action. Perform clinical instruction as necessary
    • Control drugs as per regulations of the Pharmacy Act (Act 53 of 1974), perform checks on drug totals and drug registers and ensure that procedures and recording are adhered to. Rationalise and control emergency stock. Stock control
    • Monitor and manage staff attendance and ensure coverage of the unit at all times. Allocate staff, based on workload and level of competence ensuring optimal staff usage and maintaining the stability of nurse/patient ratio
    • Promote and maintain good working and interpersonal relationships with management, patients, staff, doctors and colleagues. Coordinate the activities of all hospital departments to provide uniformity of direction
    • Demonstrate professional ethics and leadership qualities. Maintain standards and conduct to the South African Nursing Act and SANC Regulations
    • Conduct frequent ward rounds and provide top-quality, customer-centric service
    • Ensure processes are in line with the working procedures and policies of Busamed

    Case Manager | Re-advertised

    Summary

    • The Case Manager will be responsible for the liaison between the patient and medical aids tom secure payment for the hospital.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Ensure all the relevant details on Hospital Billing System are updated and are accurate
    • Supply all details regarding patients’ history to Clinical partners
    • Monitor and control costs for Managed Care Organisation patients
    • Confirm length of stay for all Managed Care Organisations patients
