• Clover is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Advisor to join their Gqeberha Production team. The primary role of the position would be to ensure that food quality and safety systems are executed effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities    
Oversee the quality system in Production  

• Oversee the quality and food safety management system  
• Ensure that procedures are followed correctly regarding change control at Production level 
• Ensure validation studies for equipment, block flow diagram and process are available  
• Report/communicate to Production and PT&T on formulation, process changes etc. that will influence quality/food safety at plant level  
• Identify quality and food safety issues and help/support with specialist knowledge to solve the issues  
• Ensure that FSSC 22000 related training is done  

Oversee that the quality and food safety requirements are done  

• Provide support to Production regarding trials and processes  
• Ensure effective communication (written, verbal) eg. when new processes, products etc. are implemented by PT&T  
• Ensure all updates specifications from PT&T are issued and implemented per branch through the abovementioned system  
• Assist Production when product, packaging & raw material does not comply to specifications (concessions)  
• Ensure that work procedures are documented and implemented in production  

Investigate complaints, incidents and corrective actions regarding quality and food safety  

• Conduct, report and record investigations related to quality and implement corrective actions  
• Action the priorities and corrections with Production team  
• Liaise with Production regarding investigation of complaints  
• Monitor progress or corrective actions  

 Assist with Quality and Food safety Audits  

• Ensure that the facility is aware and available for all related audits  
• Validate that the relevant documentations are in place for the audit  
• Ensure that the corrective actions of previous findings are done  
• Ensure that proactive steps are taken to minimise risks, findings etc. in the system

Job Advert Summary    

• The Artisan (Millwright) role will be required to perform electromechanical maintenance and repairs on site in the production department and will be required to provide support to the Production Maintenance team on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements    

• Must be a Trade tested Millwright.
• N Levels in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering OR National Diploma in Engineering.
• Technical experience: High Speed Machinery, Packaging machinery, PLC, SCADA, Fault finding, Pneumatic & Electrical controls.
• Toolbox.
• Minimum of 3 year's experience in applying technical concepts in a food Manufacturing plant.
• Willing to work overtime, shifts and be on standby as and when required.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Assemble, install, test and maintain all mechanical and electrical equipment within area of responsibility.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment to ensure optimal reliability and availability.
• Conduct fault-finding / analysis of machine condition and failures.
• Perform root cause analysis on processing equipment.
• Optimize machines with pro-active approach to continuous improvement.
• Perform root cause analysis on steam, refrigeration and water equipment.
• Provide technical and specialist support to the maintenance and production team.
• Inspect and test equipment as per prescribed ELKE schedule.
• Complete job cards and update records.
• Increase machine availability.
• Ensure modifications are done timeously.
• Ensure that all process control software is backed up and kept up to date.
• Participate in Way Better teams.
