    Storeman: Maintenance

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The purpose of this position is to manage the inventory, storage, and issuance of maintenance spares and tools, ensuring accurate stock control, timely availability of parts, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role includes receiving, recording, and storing items, maintaining optimal stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, and ensuring a clean, organised, and efficient stores environment.                                       

    Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
    • Diagnostic competency assessment
    • 2+ years’ experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Computer literacy (Basic)
    • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays/Standby when required

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Receive, store and issue stock

    • Receive stock part orders into the system and place in physical location in the engineering store  
    • Perform regular weekly or monthly cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records, eliminating discrepancies and reducing redundant stock.
    • Assist Stock Controller where required  
    • Ensure paperwork for stock orders is in place and send to capturing Clerk after receiving 
    • Ensure that assigned area adheres to Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP) at all times  
    • Ensure security, good housekeeping and safety of stock in the stores

    Inventory Control and Documentation

    • Ensure all materials are available for maintenance tasks.
    • Request for quotation from supplier when stock is on Minimum levels.
    • Ensure inventory transactions are recorded in manual issue register and complete on system.
    • all tools being issued must be recorded in manual book.

    Shift Manager: Production

    Job Advert Summary

    • Diploma/ Degree in Food Science/ Dairy Technology
    • 5+ years’ experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Production & Operations Management

    • Manage and optimise end-to-end production processes, including planning, scheduling, and reporting
    • Drive plant performance through improved capacity utilisation, OPP, and cost control (labour, utilities, materials)
    • Manage quality, production costs, and equipment functionality to ensure efficient operations
    • Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and housekeeping standards

    Milk Reception & Quality Control

    • Oversee receipt, sampling, testing, and acceptance of raw milk in line with food safety and regulatory standards
    • Ensure compliance with milk grading, cold chain protocols, and accurate record-keeping
    • Coordinate tanker offloading and manage raw milk allocation based on quality and age
    • Monitor and investigate milk usage variances and maintain sampling integrity and traceability

    CIP & Hygiene Management

    • Oversee tanker cleaning (CIP) processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
    • Manage CIP parameters and ensure correct sequencing, verification, and record-keeping
    • Ensure microbiological testing is conducted and results meet required specifications
    • Balance throughput requirements with cleaning effectiveness and compliance

    Chemical Management

    • Oversee chemical storage, handling, make-up, and distribution across the plant
    • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (SDS, PPE, bunding)
    • Monitor chemical usage and stock levels, ensuring uninterrupted supply to production
    • Manage chemical usage variances and ensure proper waste disposal and environmental compliance

    People Management & Leadership

    • Lead, develop, and manage production teams to ensure optimal performance and staffing levels
    • Set objectives, manage performance, and drive training and development initiatives
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
    • Manage employee relations, discipline, and effective communication across shifts and departments

    Compliance, Safety & Systems

    • Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO standards, food safety, and quality management systems
    • Enforce occupational health and safety standards, including risk management and incident reporting
    • Oversee SHE performance, including LTIFR and safety initiatives
    • Ensure accurate completion and control of all production and compliance records
