Job Advert Summary    

• Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Hygiene Monitor in the Quality department. The purpose of the position is to monitor and control the adherence of Hygiene standards and procedures within the plant. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Head of department.

Minimum Requirements    
Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 1+ years’ experience in meat processing
• Food Safety training and experience will be an advantage.

Competencies & Skills Required

• Knowledge of food and safety practices.
• Self -motivated and ability to work independently.
• Adequate comprehension of applicable statutory standards applicable to the workplace, environment, and employees.
• Detail orientated.
• Effective communications skills
• Deadline driven.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Filling of all soap dispensers and sanitizer dispensers throughout the further processing plant
• Responsible for conducting housekeeping evaluations
• Responsible for continuous cleaning throughout the plant
• Ensuring dressing area (plant entrance) is kept neat and clean
• Conduct bait station, 24/7 traps and fly control unit checks
• Responsible for waste removal throughout the plant
• Responsible for conducting product sampling (product, hand, retention samples and swabs as per swabbing schedule)
• Responsible for conducting daily glass and hard plastic checks
• Reconcile parts and tools
• Report workers not adhering to the required standard
• Follow-up of corrective actions
• Carry out instructions given by management regarding quality and hygiene
• Maintain the Quality Control Program
• Maintain a high level of hygiene throughout the processing plant.

Job Advert Summary    

• This is a full-time, onsite position based in Viljoenskroon. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing plant and mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements    

• N2 (Preferably N3)
• Qualified Boilermaker
• At least 2 years work experience in a similar production facility
• Knowledge of ISO / OSHAct
• Welding & developing

Duties and Responsibilities    

Design/ Development

• Development / installation of any spouts, Chutes, square to round etc.

Maintenance

• Compliance to Pragma maintenance system
• Install, service, calibrate and repair all mechanical apparatus
• Attend to callouts after hours
• Do mechanical fault finding
• Perform routine inspections on all equipment and report non-conformances
• Perform all scheduled tasks on mechanical apparatus

Projects

• Identify value adding projects
• Be an effective member of a project team

Health & Safety

• Make safe and communicate any mechanical risks to manager
• Effectively utilize all required PPE
• Report non-compliance to the OSHAct
• Assist in drafting standard operating procedures & policies

Training & Coaching

• Supervise and monitor mechanical apprentices
• Communicate training needs to manger

Administrative Functions

• Maintain all mechanical drawings
• Safe keep / maintain machine manuals & apparatus lists
• Do accurate and comprehensive feedback on completed job cards
