    Clinical Nurse Practitioner

    • The main purpose of this role is to provide high nursing quality and deliver excellent youth friendly services at our adolescent clinic, based within a Health Park providing a space for sport and physical activity, education regarding healthy eating, and mental health support. The clinic serves adolescents 12-29 years, predominantly providing SRH and HIV prevention and treatment services, as well as general primary health care for those 15 years and older.

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Nursing with an active registration with SANC
    • Qualification in Primary Health Nursing
    • NIMART certified
    • At least 5 years of nursing experience
    • Sexual and reproductive health certificate-inclusive of Implant insertion and removal certificate
    • At least 1-2 years Nursing experience in a primary healthcare environment
    • Experience working with adolescents
    • At least 1-2 years staff management
    • Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Masiphumelele, Fish Hoek, or Muizenberg due to operational requirements
    • Computer literacy with sound knowledge of email, excel, word processing and internet
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication
    • Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
    • Ability to work harmoniously with youth of diverse backgrounds
    • Client focused
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to work in a team and to be able to foster a collaborative relationship with local clinics and hospitals

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for the youth and adolescent clients
    • Ensure good clinic flow in the youth clinic (YC)
    • Maintain participant confidentiality
    • Provide education on sexual reproductive health including HIV/TB and STI education, screening and treatment to clients.
    • Rapid testing for HIV & STIs
    • Provide Family Planning counselling & services including insertion and removal of Implanon
    • Provide PrEP and ARVs as required and related education and support on side-effects, adherence etc.
    • Perform pregnancy tests as required
    • Provide Primary Health Care services according to PACK & EDL guidelines
    • Assess, advise & treat the client needing a prescription
    • Ensure familiarity with local counselling testing and referral guidelines
    • Refer to relevant secondary or tertiary hospital as needed
    • Capture data daily on REDCape database
    • Ensure that consultation rooms have sufficient supplies to run the clinic on each day.
    • Order stock monthly from Province
    • Provide stats monthly to DOH
    • Manage medical waste monthly
    • Monthly checking of emergency trolley and eyewash stations

    HRIS & Payroll Co-ordinator

    • The Desmond Tutu Health Foundation is currently recruiting for an experienced HRIS & Payroll Co-ordinator. The HRIS & Payroll Co-ordinator will be responsible for implementing the organisation’s Payroll and HR systems, enabling accurate, compliant, and efficient HR operations. The role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing on Payspace, drive the implementation, optimisation, and support of HR systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Direct Hire, and Power BI dashboards. The incumbent will also ensure seamless system integration, manages Employee Self-Service (ESS), maintains data integrity, and deliver analytics and HR reporting to support Management decision-making. By combining technical expertise with hands-on implementation, training, and stakeholder engagement, the role guarantees that all HR and payroll systems are secure, up-to-date, compliant, and aligned with statutory, donor, and organisational requirements.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Payroll Management, or Information Systems.
    • 5-7 years’ experience in a combined HRIS and Payroll function.
    • South African Payroll Association – SAPA certification (advantageous)
    • Proven end-to-end payroll experience on PaySpace (essential).
    • 2-3 Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 HR/ERP, Direct Hire, or similar HRIS (essential) as well as system integration.
    • Advanced Excel and Power BI data analysis skills.
    • Hands-on experience implementing systems and conducting user training.
    • Sound understanding of payroll legislation, data management, and system integration.
    • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with POPIA.
    • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
    • Technically inclined with ability to translate HR needs into digital solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage end-to-end payroll (monthly and ad-hoc runs).
    • Capture, verify, and reconcile payroll data accurately.
    • Prepare payroll journals, variance reports, and reconciliations for Finance.
    • Administer employee benefits, provident funds, leave, and other third-party submissions.
    • Ensure compliance with SARS, UIF, and statutory payroll requirements.
    • Implement Employee Self-Service (ESS) for and train staff on usage.
    • Maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity.
    • Advise and support Leadership on HR systems architecture and optimisation.
    • Collaborate with IT to identify and implement system enhancements.
    • Implement, configure, integrate, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365, Direct Hire, and Power BI dashboards.
    • Oversee system upgrades and additions in partnership with IT and external suppliers.
    • Manage user access, permissions, and configurations in line with internal policies.
    • Work with IT to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with POPIA, donor, and statutory requirements.
    • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across all HR and payroll systems.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen data management and security processes.
    • At least two management approved improvement initiatives implemented annually:
    • Compile and analyse HR and payroll data reports and analytics.
    • Support HR in statutory and donor reporting (EE, WSP, HRID, etc.)
    • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for HR and EXCO insights.
    • Any other tasks and duties that may be appropriate to this position
