This role is a Senior DevOps/Operability Consultant, to facilitate continuous delivery of quality software using DevOps practices and principles. The role requires a broad cross section of skills along with a strong consultative approach.  It is working with the team and clients on-site to ensure that the right practices are in place and to take the lead on automating as far as possible. This is a hands-on role, actively pairing to share knowledge and increase delivery teams maturity around Operability.

The following skills and experience are required:

•  A background utilising DevOps practices to enable Continuous Delivery
•  Collaborative skills - being open to pair programming and working closely with Developers in cross functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Scripting language or coding experience (Including bash and one other language)
• A strong technical background in build, release and environments, with experience of CI tools like Jenkins
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc)
• Infrastructure provisioning tools e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM
• Strong automation skills, including experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
• Proven ability to design and support robust build, deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier JVM & .Net applications (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt)
• Understanding of telemetry practices (monitoring, graphing, alerting, anomaly detection)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, and DNS)
• Expertise with software build tools

• This role is a Senior iOS software developer with solid software development and user experience design skills.
• The iOS Senior Software Developer will be working with an on-site client team and will be expected to mentor/peer and share their skills and knowledge across the existing client developers.

Main requirements

• Providing technical iOS leadership within their team

• Consistently delivering to challenging business objectives and adhere to Service Level Agreements with commercial implications for success and failure

• Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills

• Utilising their XP knowledge; TDD, Continuous Integration

• Working predominantly using pair programming, imparting skills and knowledge in a small team

• Introducing Open Source products/ tools as appropriate to optimise the delivery timescale and quality of the software product

Skills and Experience Required

• Extensive experience developing native applications for iOS in Swift and / or Objective-C

• Version Control using GIT

• A test-first development mentality using TDD and XCTest

• Able to provide examples of clean, self documenting, readable code.

• Demonstrable understanding of S.O.L.I.D. principles and Object Oriented patterns.

• Integrating third party open source software using CocoaPods, Carthage or other.

• Continuous Delivery with FastLane or TestFlight together with CI systems e.g. TeamCity or Xcode Server.

• Experience of Agile software delivery methodology

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, good verbal and written communication

The following are not required but an advantage

• 2+ Years experience of development with Swift.

• Knowledge of Clean Architecture patterns such as MVVM or VIPER (above and beyond MVC).

• Experience of GCD and asynchronous multicore programming an advantage.

• Framework development and distribution via CocoaPods, Carthage or Swift Package Manager.

The Senior Full Stack Developer works with Equal Experts and client teams on-site, and is expected to mentor and share their skills and knowledge with other developers on their projects.

The Senior Full Stack Developer is responsible for the following:

• Providing technical leadership within their team 
• Consistently delivering to challenging business objectives and adhere to Service Level  
• Agreements with commercial implications for success and failure 
• Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills 
• Utilising Agile Technical practices; TDD, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Pair  Programming, etc 
• Introducing Open Source libraries and tools as appropriate to optimise the delivery  timescale and quality of the software product

The following skills and experience are required:

• Java Virtual Machine based environment: Java, Scala, Groovy, Clojure, Kotlin
• Strong Object Oriented programming skills 
• Service Oriented Architectures: ReSTful, Microservices 
• Strong Front End experience: JavaScript, CSS 3, HTML 5 
• Experience with version control (Git/Github, Mercurial) 
• You will have been involved with all aspects of software delivery and lifecycle, from inception phase to delivery 
• You will have solid experience working on bespoke built enterprise OO applications 
• You have successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum practices and introduced Agile techniques and you may have coached teams to apply them effectively, thanks to your outstanding Agile expertise and communication skill.
