    Supervisor Conventional Machining - Chloorkop

    Main Purpose of this role:

    The main purpose of the Conventional Supervisor is to oversee all day-to-day running’s of the conventional machines which are being operated by our apprentices. Responsible for all training and guidance the apprentices might need with manufacturing parts for production

    Your responsibilities:

    • Ensure that all the apprentices receive the basic training needs on the conventional lathe and milling machines.
    • Coach the apprentices in tool selection for various machining procedures.
    • Training the apprentices in correct use of all measuring equipment.
    • Assist and train the apprentices on FLSmidth quality procedures.
    • Provide guidance with regards to feeds and speeds for various materials.
    • Ensure apprentices are trained on basic maintenance and housekeeping for the lathes and milling machines.
    • Responsible to make sure all parts are manufactured within the required times allocated.
    • Responsible for the development of the apprentices, prepare them with basic machining principles to prepare them for advance CNC machining.
    • Responsible for the maintenance and servicing of all conventional equipment to prevent premature failure.
    • Responsible for ensuring all apprentices have the correct tooling to perform their tasks to the highest quality standards.
    • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures and discipline within his responsible section.
    • Responsible for pre-planning of jobs so the apprentices are aware of their next job. To ensure all tooling and materials are ready for the next operation.
    • Ensure that the conventional machining area is clean and presentable to effectively perform the daily duties.
    • Performs other duties as and when required.

    What you bring

    • Trade test machining.
    • Minimum N3 technical qualification.
    • Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings.
    • Crane License / experience.
    • Rigger Training / experience.
    • Basic PC skills.
    • 5-10 Years in heavy engineering environment.

    Global Service Line Manager Wear Panels & Coating - Chloorkop (MT)

    As Global Service Line Manager you will be responsible for the global OI, Revenue and EBITA profit and loss for the Service Line including the strategic positioning on the market and optimization of the supply chain regarding quality and cost.

    Your responsibilities

    • Create and execute the strategy for the Service Line in collaboration with the regional Sales teams.
    • Design wear solutions that can deliver exceptional products to existing and new customers
    • Manage the engineering function related to the products within the Service Line.
    • Collaborate with Product & System business line managers to identify differentiation potential through enhanced wear parts offerings
    • Work closely with Operations on developing the right supply chain and manufacturing, drivers of quality and protection of intellectual property
    • Lead Service Line team in accordance with corporate leadership values, instilling a culture of accountability, ongoing development, and ensuring employee engagement.

    Continuous Improvement, Process & Strategy Delivery Coordinator

    You will be part of the Sub-Saharan Africa Middle East and South Asia Regions within the Professional Services team, who are dedicated to executing the Professional Services mandate for our customers.     Your responsibilities

    Process Optimization

    • Support the HOD in developing local Professional Services (PS) processes.
    • Facilitate optimization workshop sessions to define RACI’s, processes and local instructions.
    • Support PS teams to navigate the process landscape
    • Capture workshop outputs in Visio / PP or relevant software application.

    Strategy

    • Coordinate local strategy w/shops
    • Manage professional services strategy content
    • Set up and facilitate team twonhall information / progress sessions
    • Coordinate projects related to local strategy deliverablers
    • Maintain collaboration platform

    Continuous Improvement

    • Coordinate white / yellow belt project portfolio
    • Set-up and coordinate sessions 
    • Help teams to document project information, progress and benefits achieved

    Support function

    • Close collaboration and support to the HOD PS in general running and functioning of the department.
    • Develop key dashboards in PowerBI
    • Develop & maintain Mancom documentation & meeting requirements
    • Coordinate critical internal & external meetings & functions

    What you bring

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification – Degree / NHD in Business Management
    • Six Sigma qualification through an accredited institution
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar environment
    • Experience in the mining & manufacturing environment
    • Experience in setting up Visual Management areas
    • Extensive computer skills – Power Point, Visio, Excel, Teams.
    • Experience in creating PowerBI dashboards from scratch
    • Experience in hosting w/shops, training sessions & functions
