    Specialist Tax: Tax Directive System

    Responsibilities/Tasks:

    Herewith responsibilities but not limited to the following:

    • Interpretation of the Retirement Fund definitions in the Income Tax Act (including the Second Schedule) and performing impact analysis with the new legislation amendment.
    • Interpretation of the Business Requirement Specification, Change Requests and Functional Specification.
    • Review Tax Directive System field requirements.
    • Interpreting the tax directive forms and influence changes thereof.
    • Performing tax directive and assessment manual calculations.
    • Leading and coordinating user testing team.
    • Managing all aspect of user support and training including development for skills transfer.
    • Assisting in the enhancements of business processes and policies.
    • To facilitate new development for internal operations.
    • To create user manuals for new developed systems.
    • To train and provide team members advise on the systems functionalities.
    • Aid in devising business and investment strategies to optimise tax returns.
    • Ensure meticulous compliance with regulatory prerequisites during corporate tax return preparation.
    • Review operational protocols to guarantee adherence to local statutes and regulations.
    • Propose innovative policies and procedures to streamline tax information gathering from departmental managers.
    • Manage the preparation, processing, and documentation related to the entire accounting cycle, culminating in tax return preparation and filing.
    • Validate the accuracy of records and documents pertinent to tax reporting and preparation.
    • Maintain effective written and verbal communications between the company and relevant vendors and regulatory bodies.
    • Stay abreast of tax code and accounting law updates.
    • Conduct in-depth research on tax compliance matters at local and national levels.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) and 15 years' experience in a similar environment, of which 6-8 years ideally at functional specialist level or Matric and 15 years' experience in tax directives, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated success as a tax specialist or analyst.
    • Experience managing substantial volumes of accounting documentation for corporations or large organizations.

    RPA Business Analyst

    Key Responsibilities:

    Process

    • Attending and engaging in RPA project meetings and reviews by contributing domain-specific knowledge and experience.
    • Identify candidate business processes suited to Robotic Process Automation.
    • Design, model and document RPA Solution Specifications.
    • Ensure that business requirements are clearly identified, prioritised and satisfied by appropriate technical and or business    process solutions.
    • Provide process solution support to institutionalise RPA initiatives.
    • Analyse and make recommendations about improvements to specialist systems, procedures, policies and practices.
    • Reviewing and commenting upon business and functional requirement specifications for RPA projects and maintenance.
    • Draw on own technical or professional expertise, knowledge and experience to identify and recommend tactical solutions     to defined problems.
    • Influence and communicate across business areas impacted by practice area to minimise resistance and ensure on-     boarding of new thinking.
    • Take accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service     targets.
    • Proactively identify interconnected problems, determine its impact and develop best fit alternatives, developing best     practice RPA solutions.
    • Recommend changes to optimise processes, systems, practice areas and associated procedures and execute the     implementation of change and innovation.

    Requirements
    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma in Business Analysis or relevant bachelor’s degree.
    • 4 - 6 years' experience in a business analysis or similar environment, of which 2 -3 years specialising in RPA solutions.
    • Proficiency in process modelling tools.
    • Proficient in writing functional specifications.
    • Familiar with RPA platforms, in particular Microsoft Power Platform.

    Senior RPA Developer

    Key Responsibilities:

    Process

    • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for automation using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA bots in accordance with SARS’s governance and security standards.
    • Maintain and monitor bots to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues.
    • Document automation solutions and provide training/support to end-users and stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with SARS’s data privacy, cybersecurity, and internal control policies.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the RPA Centre of Excellence.

    • Microsoft Dataverse.
    • Power Platform: Power Apps, AI Builder, Power Virtual Agents.
    • Ability to design scalable automation solutions.
    • Familiarity with AI/ML integration.
    • Understanding of business analysis and process engineering.
