    Quality Engineer - Warranty

    Analysis of all warranty data, AWS, BSAQ and dealership returned parts. Preparation of analysis reports and effective communication to Quality Manager and Regional Warranty Management.

    Key Responsibility Areas Would Include

    Warranty

    • Support Quality Manager with customer and 3rd party audits.
    • Initiate analysis of any warranty or possible warranty related issues. Where applicable, visit the customer to review concern at source. Coordinate the implementation and report results of any related containment activity. Ensure effective close out of each concern.
    • Review all customer assembly processes to detect any potential quality issue (QRE to support).
    • Communicate to the Lear Cross Functional Team analysis requirement of any warranty concern.
    • Ensure that customer feedback is done in good time and that all 8D feedback is reviewed by management.
    • Validate the effectiveness of actions from customer assembly point of view.
    • Report in a timely manner the sorting activities / design repairs performed internally and externally at Ford.
    • Monitor BSAQ on customer portal daily, address and report open / overdue issues
    • Review related Customer Requirements at least once per annum and ensure that G;/Lear Business System is updated
    • Track open issues within plant where unresolved issues exist. Highlight any major concerns that can jeopardize final quality to the Quality Manager.
    • Follow the Lear and Ford quality procedures presented in advance.
    • Responsible for respecting the technologies, procedures and work instructions.
    • Update all Warranty related monthly MOS report data.

    • Responsible for respecting Lear and Ford safety and environmental rules.
    • Learn the rules; understand them; follow them; and avoid short cuts;
    • Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards;
    • Be certain that you completely understand instructions before starting work;
    • Safeguard any information considered as privileged from customer or Lear.
    • Knowledge of and follow the HS&E standards and how they are applied.
    • Proceed in their activity without being exposed to danger, accidents or professional illness for both himself/herself and his colleagues.
    • Report any technical damage or any other situation that represents a danger of accident or professional illness.

    Educational Requirements

    • Technical University Degree

    Related Experience

    • At least 5 years in quality department in automotive manufacturing facility. Previous working experience in Lear or exposure to wiring plant advantageous. Previous experience working with customer quality resolution or warranty advantageous.

    Equipment Engineer

    Purpose Of The Job

    • He/she carries out the studies and executes their implementation balancing the production lines, analysing and planning the efficiency to get and their improvement.
    • Makes analytic, technological and economic study of processes, proposing improvements guided to reduce the operative time to the object of going up the percentage of productivity.
    • Responsible for Board, Plant & Quality Lay-outs.
    • Starts up and makes the necessary documentation for their use in production . Validates start up of new tooling.
    • Makes pursuit of the different production phases, making sure of the processes is executed of agreement with foreseen systems of quality and security.
    • Responsible for the PFMEA of processes
    • Responsible for applying improvements in order to reach the objectives of efficiency and quality marked by the management of the Plant.
    • Applies and develops improvements for and from the Best Practices.
    • Responsible for the products to the one assigned of implementing all the plans of improvements that the company considers necessary.
    • Participates with the technical personnel of the customer of suppliers and of Lear in the development or modification of the products that are manufacturing, presenting proposals of improvement.
    • Responsible for detecting, to impel and to make develop tooling, means and machinery and processes with object of optimizing and it improves the manufacturing processes as well as to share them through the system of Best Practices to any other one that the company decides to implant.
    • Responsible that the times, processes and necessary investments for any setting in production or modification are achieved within time , cost and quality metrics.
    • Synthesizes monthly the situation of their projects as well as their parameters and the plan of improvements.
    • Responsible for the execution of the company regulatory schemes in their area of responsibility.
    • Responsible for to impel and to develop the technical guidelines marked by the Direction of Engineering.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Engineering Degree/Diploma
    Related Experience

    • Minimum : Engineering Degree/Diploma – Industrial/Mechanical Engineering

    AutoCAD Experience Essential

    • Preferably with a minimum of 2 -5 years experience in an engineering or manufacturing capacity
    • Wire harness manufacturing exposure/experience an advantage

    Requirements

    • AutoCAD Design and Drafting Software Skills and Experience
    • PC Skills (Excel Intermediate/advance, Power Point & Wo r d & Presentation Skills
    • Possesses product design/process/technical knowledge that can be used to provide engineering direction for specific issues
