    Technical Advisor Agrochemical

    • An established manufacturer of agrochemicals is seeking the above to provide in-field support and expert advice on table and wine grapes, as well as citrus crops, to enhance sales, train and mentor the Sales Team, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist Crop Advisors with technical issues and claims management.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a B. Agric./B. Sc. Agric degree
    • Must possess AVCASA or BASOS accreditation and be prepared to work towards acquiring both accreditations within a reasonable period of time
    • Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience in the agricultural industry in agrochemicals and/or agriculture and/or nutrition
    • Technical knowledge and experience within the citrus, table and wine grape industry is essential
    • Must possess good customer relationship skills as well as technical and agrochemical knowledge
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is advantageous, along with knowledge of .NET
    • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport and be medically fit to drive
    • Willing to travel to support all allocated Crop Advisors and service cross-border clients when required
    • Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is a prerequisite

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Assuming responsibility for the development of spray programs incorporating in-house products for clients, integrating agrochemical and nutritional products while adhering to MRL guidelines and label recommendations.
    • Using crop programs and technical support services to drive sales strategies in the region.
    • Monitoring the correct implementation of recommendations.
    • Carrying out regular crop inspections with Crop Advisors during the season to identify problems and provide recommendations for corrective action.
    • Performing relevant in-house product trials on specific crops to build knowledge and confidence in products.
    • Applying functional expertise to organize training workshops for Crop Advisors on in-house products per crop, integrating the full in-house range with third-party products as required.
    • Engaging effectively with customers through the Turbo toolbox selling methodology of problem identification and solution finding.
    • Providing technical support to Crop Advisors through training and on-field analysis across all product classes.
    • Working closely with the Advisory Manager to compile a sales strategy for the respective Advisory team for specific crops.
    • Interacting with key influencers in the industry to promote in-house products, grow the existing client base, and act on leads for new products or programs based on crops or regional specifics.
    • Executing the company’s NuWay strategy to grow in-house nutritional products and differentiate in the marketplace.
    • Being responsible for meeting sales budget targets as set by the company and broken down into regions.
    • Communicating product strategies with Portfolio Specialists and Regional Managers.
    • Working with Crop Associations and Exporters to offer the company’s solutions for better residue management and to create awareness of the company’s products and services.
    • Meeting budget targets as set by the company.
    • Communicating product strategies with Portfolio Managers.
    • Working closely with the Advisory Manager, Advisory Specialist, and Regional Manager in the area to determine the strategy and budget of in-house and third-party products.
    • Setting up budgets per product and Crop Advisors on in-house products to enable their inclusion in regional budgets and forecasts.

    Graphic Designer & Events Coordinator

    • An established manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals is seeking the above for creating innovative graphic designs and media, collaborating with teams to align with brand standards, managing multiple projects, improving workflows, maintaining media databases, coordinating events, and assisting with administrative and operational tasks.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Degree or Diploma in graphic design, art, or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Audition, and Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in running proactive media relations and social media as well as experience in running cross countries and cross-cultural projects
    • Must have professional graphic design experience, ideally within a creative or marketing agency
    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is essential
    • Experience with animation software is advantageous
    • Must have photography skills and proficiency with photo-editing software
    • Expertise in preparing artwork for both print and digital publications
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical or agrochemical industry is advantageous
    • Strong creativity and a knack for innovative design as well as excellent communication and presentation abilities
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be fluent in English (Afrikaans is an advantage)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Collaborating with various teams to brainstorm and strategize on a wide range of materials, including presentations, brand collateral, signage, exhibition booths, internal communications, social media content, multi-media content, newsletters, annual reports, and marketing materials.
    • Interpreting strategic direction to produce high-quality designs within the established brand identity.
    • Developing concepts and original content by selecting the ideal colour schemes, text, font styles, imagery, and layout.
    • Overseeing the design and uploading process for all project materials, ensuring best practices are followed.
    • Utilizing trend intelligence and insights from historical and current markets to design and execute specific creative outputs.
    • Managing, organizing, and attending events, including Farmers Days, annual Agents’ Conference, Expos, and Trade Shows.
    • Creating ideas and arranging the necessary promotional display units and materials.
    • Requesting quotes from suppliers, getting approval from management for procurement, receiving orders, distributing, and processing invoices and payments.
    • Keeping all marketing-related administration up to date and in good record (purchase orders, invoices, etc.).
    • Making out purchase orders and submitting them to accounts.
    • Ensuring payments are processed.
    • Compiling and keeping the marketing budget up to date.
    • Ordering all company business cards.
    • Sourcing suppliers and printers for all promotional items.
    • Maintaining data libraries of all electronic collateral and content such as open design files, stock image libraries, and rendered files (print and multi-media).
    • Ensuring all contractual obligations are met in terms of hospitality, trade show agreements, and others, in line with the company’s legal requirements.
    • Joining monthly marcom calls and giving feedback on the region.
