Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade

- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
- Medium Voltage training/certificate (Added advantage).

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Effective team supervision to safety achieve production targets
- Effective job planning in terms of cost containment, legal regulations, procedures, quality standards and required resources (trained crew, time, equipment, material and tools); draw up a schedule to guide the execution thereof
- Perform effective rope splicing for strong reliable connections vital for handling of heavy loads in mining operations
- Safely install, inspect and maintain winder / hoist ropes, attachments, sheave wheels / conveyors and assist with shaft slinging
